I was over on Yahoo Ask a few days ago and a question got my attention...
"Should there be a National Barefoot Day? The person suggested it should be the first day of summer. I guess what surprised me was that there was so many people OPPOSED to it.
I think its a great idea. Not so much so I could see a million bare feet on one day a year, but just to let the people that enjoy going barefoot, do so without shame.
The biggest worry from the naysayers was that people would get cut feet, needle sticks and all that, but I was thinking people are smarter than that...

barefoot indoors - bring it on. I wouldn't want dainty soft soles walking around on scungy New Yrok streets thought - sends shivers down my spine thinking about it! But yeah an indoor barefoot day, barefoot on the beach and in the park - I love it!

I'm curious: Why did the majority say they didn't think it was a good idea? I think it would be great. I'll just close my eyes when barefoot guys pass me by!
