here's something to look forward to on a tuesday morning [Smile] a new National poll pitting some of the most beautiful women and their feet against each other.

as usual, nice matchups National. i was taken aback when i saw my all time favorite, katherine mcphee, pitted against cuthbert. i was expecting cuthbert to leading by a mile and although it is very early, i was very pleasantly suprised to see mcphee leading. i also shuddered when i saw hudgens matched up with panatierre. how do i pick either?? but unfor, there was no other category [Laugh]

thanks for the great work National. [Smile]

If what National said last week is true about Carmen Electra winning most of her matches last year by wide margins, then it's very hard to see how she's going to be stopped. Did you witness the mauling she gave Hillary Duff last week? So far, Carmen's off to a good lead. Carmen is on a Patriot-like run where there will be a lot of lopsided wins. But since I'm not a big fan of hers, it would be so gratifying to see her lose in the Finals Classics.

Even though I'm not a big Electra fan, I still voted for her this week because Tara Reid is someone I can't stand more. I was talking so much shit about her to myself today, that it would be a bit hypocritical to vote for her now. Tara is a crackhead, isn't she? At least Carmen has not had a fallout the way Tara did.

Let me explain what going on here with Carmen. The reason she gets the support she does in this game (including last year because she's the defending champ) is not only because she's hot. It's because this girl is EXTREMELY appealing to men of practically every age. If there are young men voting in this game, they are supporting her. If there are old men, they will support her. Ask a 16 or 17 year-old what they think of Carmen. They will go bananas because their hormones kick into overdrive when she registers. But ask those same kids what they feel about Scarlett Johansson ... a number of them will ask who she is? Scarlett does not appeal to the youth the way Carmen has ALWAYS had.

There's no way I can say the same thing for Cindy Crawford. She appeals to men who are older than these teenagers. And even at that, Cindy cannot have these older men garner the arousal to the level Carmen can. Ask those kids to give you their thoughts on Crawford? They don't know who the hell she is. Cindy cannot appeal to the youth anymore. Carmen is still in her prime.

There are few other girls in this contest who can appeal to both youth and older men. Megan Fox, Eva Longoria, AND Kim Kardashian. I'm not too sure about Hayden and Vanessa. They can, no doubt, appeal to the younder audience. I'm not sure how their support lies with the older men. Jessica Biel? She's very hot, but I don't know if she falls in the "can appeal to the teens" category?

That Beckinsale/Mendes match was too extreme for me. I enjoy both. I just sat there and wondered, and wondered, and thought about it some more. I don't why, but I went with Eva.

I feel sorry for Cindy Crawford. I think she's going to be one of those with the worse records after the season is over. I voted for her anyway out of pity.

I'm real interested in seeing how the Kardashian/Biel matchup turns out.

Jennifer Aniston can look back on her win last week as very gracious. The division she's in is in the top three of the toughest when you consider the other three girls in it. Eva Longoria, Adriana Lima, and Brooke Burke? Any foot fetishist would commit a horrible act just to get unlimited supply of their feet. Jennifer, as much as I like you, that lead is NOT going to last for too long. The other girls are just too hot to be held back for much longer.

The pictures are among the greatest I have ever come across. Thanks, National!

And "nusuth" hit it right on the nail by saying that Tuesday is a day worth looking forward to. I agree 100%. If the matches are this tough, can you imagine what the playoffs will be like?

Hudgens vs Hayden?
This is too good to be true.

Megan Fox vs Duff?
C'mon. Hillary has lost it. Let me tell you something about this Fox chick. Megan Fox is SO HOT, Michael Jackson stopped by a little boy selling lemonade ... and just bought the lemomade. That's how hot she is! If Megan is that hot, then you KNOW her feet are as well.

I'm surprised more people haven't voted. Perhaps it'll kick in towards the end like it did last week.

These matches are second to none.

Great match ups as always but thats what you get when you have such a selection of hotties that we have in the NFF.

Not at all surprised by the close mathes we have but some of the wider margins are a little surprising. Especially Scarlett vs. Snow. We all know Scarlett is smoking hot but I think Snow has some pretty great feet and would have given her a good fight. The Electra Reid match surprises me as well I mean I really hate tera but she still has some nice feet but Carmen is just that unstoppable. She will lose though its bound to happen with the competition. Im also surprised by the Bilson Alba votes so far thought it would be alot closer. And always happy to see my girl Kat in the lead. this was the closest Ive ever come to voting against her I think. Cuthbert has amazing feet and thats still anyone's match and both deserve the victory. Cant wait to see the results. Now lets get some more votes

As part of the on-going celebration on the fame the women in this contest have achieved, we will take a look back to revive the legacies of the ladies who graced Hollywood with a flair that will never be duplicated.

Times were different in the Golden Era of Hollywood. Class was an element that can best describe a lot of these women.
Every week, the National Femme Fashionistas will pay homage to a lady who was influential enough to garner Lifetime Achievement Awards for their contributions that will forever live in the memories of many people. Without them, there would be no such appeal for any lady today to become famous, and earn the status of becoming a household name.

This week, we'll highlight Lauren Bacall:

Lauren Bacall was born on September 16, 1924, in New York City. Her parents were middle-class, with her father working as a salesman and her mother as a secretary. They divorced when she was five. When she was a school girl, Lauren originally wanted to be a dancer, but later, she became enthralled with acting, so she switched gears to head into that field. She had studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York after high school, which enabled her to get her feet wet in some off-Broadway productions.

Once out of school, Lauren entered modeling and, because of her beauty, appeared on the cover of Harper's Bazaar, one of the most popular magazines in the US. The wife of famed director Howard Hawks spotted the picture in the publication and arranged with her husband to have Lauren take a screen test. As a result, which was entirely positive, she was given the part of Marie Browning in To Have and Have Not (1944), a thriller opposite the great Humphrey Bogart, when she was just 19 years old. This not only set the tone for a fabulous career but also one of Hollywood's greatest love stories (she married Bogart in 1945). It was also the first of several Bogie-Bacall films.

After 1945's Confidential Agent, Lauren received second billing in The Big Sleep in 1946 with Bogart. The mystery, in the role of Vivian Sternwood Rutledge, was a resounding success. Although she was making one film a year, each production would be eagerly awaited by the public. In 1947, again with her husband, Lauren starred in the thriller Dark Passage. The film kept movie patrons on the edge of their seats. The following year, she starred with Bogart, Edward G. Robinson, and Lionel Barrymore in Key Largo. The crime drama was even more of a nail biter than her previous film. In 1950, Lauren starred in Bright Leaf, a drama set in 1894. It was a film of note because she appeared without her husband - her co-star was Gary Cooper. In 1953, Lauren appeared in her first comedy as Schatze Page in How to Marry a Millionaire. The film, with co-stars Marilyn Monroe and Betty Grable, was a smash hit all across the theaters of America.

After filming Designing Woman, which was released in 1957, Humphrey Bogart died on January 14 from throat cancer. Devastated at being a widow, Lauren returned to the silver screen with The Gift of Love in 1958 opposite Robert Stack. The production turned out to be a big disappointment. Undaunted, Lauren moved back to New York City and appeared in several Broadway plays to huge critical acclaim. She was enjoying acting before live audiences and the audiences in turn enjoyed her fine performances.

Lauren was away from the big screen for five years, but she returned in 1964 to appear in Shock Treatment and Sex and the Single Girl. The latter film was a comedy starring Henry Fonda and Tony Curtis. In 1966, Lauren starred in Harper with Paul Newman and Julie Harris, which was one of former's signature films. Alternating her time between films and the stage, Lauren returned in 1974's Murder on the Orient Express. The film, based on Agatha Christie's best-selling book was a huge hit. It also garnered Ingrid Bergman her third Oscar. Actually, the huge star-studded cast helped to ensure its success. Two years later, in 1976, Lauren co-starred with John Wayne in The Shootist. The film was Wayne's last - he died from cancer in 1979.

In 1981, Lauren played an actress being stalked by a crazed admirer in The Fan. The thriller was absolutely fascinating with Lauren in the lead role. After that production, Lauren was away from films again, this time for seven years. In the interim, she again appeared on the stages of Broadway. When she returned, it was for the filming of 1988's Mr. North. After Misery, in 1990, and several made for television films, Lauren appeared in 1996's My Fellow Americans. It was a wonderful comedy romp with Jack Lemmon and James Garner as two ex-presidents and their escapades.

Despite her advanced age and deteriorating health, she made a small-scale comeback in the English-language dub of Hayao Miyazaki's Hauru no ugoku shiro in 2004 ("Howl's Moving Castle," based on the young-adult novel by Diana Wynne Jones) as the Witch of the Waste, but future endeavors for the beloved actress are increasingly rare.

Lima is HOT! She does not get credit for how hot she is. She is perhaps the most underrated hot girl in this contest.

Alba is hot once again. I like Aniston, but she's no hottie compared to Brooke. There should be a foot porn called Wild On Brooke's Feet, Starring Brooke and Me. Top seller.

Mandy shouldn't be anywhere close to Theron. I guess we have some blind people here. Mandy? When Charlize is next to her, how can you choose Mandy?

Aguilera is a SLUT. That's how I like 'em. Slutty and hot.

Jessica (Biel) is hot, but Kim is BURNING, baby! Kim's feet are just flawless. I'm in love.

Lindsay is a dirty girl. That's how I like 'em. She can call me whatever she likes. And speaking of dirty, check out Megan Fox. Megan Fox can make noises with her armpit and STILL be one of the hottest on the planet. If a fat girl does the same, man it'll be the most disgusting thing on the planet. I think I'm gonna throw up. [Puke] Talk about fathogs and and burping. Yuck! However, If Megan burps, that'll be hot! You see girls who are this hot, in this hottest contest, with the hottest feet can get away with things like that. Except for Shakira. OVERRATED.

I can hear the crowd shouting, "Let's go, Carmen! Let's go, Carmen! Let's go, Carmen!" Carmen is as hot as the person made mention earlier. I'll have her read me a bedtime story nightie-night.

Vanessa's pictures were hot. I love her.

With so many hot women, something's got to give.

Thanks for the matches.

The economy is so bad, the women in Hollywood now have real tits and fake jewelery! But in all seriousness, the economy is taking its toll an way too many people and it's changing its outlook on how people manage their budget to a strenuous extent. People everywhere need an escape for the time being. A utopian world where everything goes right, according to your script. Every now and again, I've found this forum to be just that escape, particularly THIS game. I think it has the remedy to cure various ills.

As far as this game goes, I think it's recession proof. Now THIS is what I call a real stimulus package!

I saw this thread last night and didn't want to vote then because some of these matches were to tough for me to decide.

How can you people have the balls to vote on these beautiful women? Eva Mendes vs. Kate Beckinsale? How the FUCK is someone going to decide that for himself? That match was too tough. Hayden Panettierre vs. Vanessa Hudgens? C'mon. I would think the best matches are saved until a later time.

In no way am I complaining. This is my way of complimenting the format. For a match like Vanessa against Hayden, I needed to sleep on that (as well as for other tough contests). These matches are too close to call, which further exploits what I'm talking about.

The two youngest-hottest are going at it. Someone needs to explain how one is supposed to pick between those two. I went with Hudgens (finally). Those pictures of her gave an indication of the sex appeal she will corrupt on all of way in the future.

With the economy being bad or great, this game is serving a great purpose.

BTW, I picked Kate Beckinsale over Mendes. Agree?

That was real funny. That explains why they didn't flip that coin to start the Superbowl. It was replaced by Rock, Paper, Scissors. Even the NFL is strapped of cash.

Week 2 is now history. We turn the page as we wait and see what lies ahead for Week 3.

Week 2 was quite telling. The Kate Beckinsale/Eva Mendes match was (off the top of my head) the most compelling match since Carmen Electra defeated Scarlett Johansson in the Finals Classic last year. I knew that match had "Classic" written all over it with Beckinsale JUST getting away with a victory. That win puts her in the early goings of the season as the face of the NFC. She was just a match she of making The Finals last year, and if she can fend off a win against Mendes the way she did, she can able to withstand just about anyone. Has anyone checked out her feet? Just about flawless. The long hair also helps.

I loved the Hayden/Vanessa match. Of all the new girls in this contest, Hayden was the only one who I intentionally put in the AFC so that they have someone as young as Vanessa Hudgens in the NFC. The Fashionista veteran Hudgens showed Hayden that she is the young lady worth talking about, and settled the debate as to who is the hottest "youngie" with the better feet is better deserving of being buzz-worthy hype.

Unless both make it to The Finals Classic, you won't see these two face eachother for a very long time. It was a classic to see those two go at it while they're this young.

That match was the youngest contest in NFF history, breaking the record set last year in Week 5 when Vanessa Hudgens defeated Lauren Conrad.

----

Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Love-Hewitt continue their rivalry from where they left off last year. That was rivalry was something special to witness in the inagural season. Jennifer Hewitt started the season last year winning her first four matches. During the same span, Aguilera started losing four of her first five matches in the same division. I thought Hewitt would easily win that division. Then that's when the Major Collapse took place in front of our eyes. Hewitt then lost her following three matches, and throughout the season, Aguilera caught up and became champion of that division on the final week of the season, winning only eight of her sixteen matches. Hewitt settled for only seven wins. If anyone saw how the Mets collapsed at the last second, or how the Jets made a fool of themselves with Brett Farve, knows how Hewitt did.

Of all girls returning this year, Hewitt is the only one who lost more than half her matches last year.

A MESSAGE TO HAYDEN SUPPORTERS

Listen, I never thought Hayden would go into Week 3 after losing her first two matches. If you go to Lord Lucan's section on this fourm, Hayden get a LOT of hype. People are very quick to say complimentary things about her and her feet.

Now that she's in the most coveted foot fetish contest on the planet, vying for the richest prise (The Salvatore Ferragamo), her massive supprt is NOWHERE to be found. What happened?

Hayden will go into Week 3 on Tuesday going up against a girl who will punch her in the face and stomp on her toes for added measure. They say it about who strikes the hardest, not who srtikes first. Well, her opponent can be the exception to that rule. If this other draws first blood, that could be she wrote. If the Hayden supporters show up, and make her win her next match, she will still have a shot at making the playoffs. If not, then Hayden will be in for a long year.

Just think about what I said. If Hayden is as good as people make her out to be, then that Hayden will show up and make a statement that she can out-shine some of the hottest women on the planet.

----

For Cain:

Rachel is a real Doll. To bad she lost to Alba. Don't worry just yet. Because if you remember the rules, I said the each girl will face the other three girls in her division TWICE. That means your Rachel will get a second chance to best Jessica Alba. I know when that will happen. You just have to sit, let the suspense build, and wait until that day arrives. When it does, don't take Alba for granted. Show her why Rachel is worth the spotlight in The Femme Fashionistas.

Week 3 starts on Tuesday. I hope to see you then.

Another great week. Although I was able to make most of my decisions fairly easily, there were a couple of matches that I debated on for a long, long time, bouncing back and fourth between several pictures looking for something to prove the deciding factor in such evenly matched encounters. Eventually I finally wound up giving the nod to one girl over the other on a whim where one pic ended up being enough to win my vote in that mood and moment.

This time I voted early, and wanted to save my post until after the results to see how I'd end up scoring against the final vote. I didn't do too bad at all going 11-5 against the final results. If I could hit the NFL or NHL pools with this kind of accuracy I'd be a rich man.

I had both Simpson Girls and they delivered. I had Alba, and she came through in a good battle with Bilson. I had Theron who won, but was pushed to the limit by Mandy Moore. Mandy's firing on all cellinders this season. She shocked me with her upset of McPhee last week, and she nearly pulled off a second one in week two but Theron was able to stave her off and win a close one. I had Christina who put a pretty decisive beating on her old nemisis Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Poor Cindy Crawford is such a beautiful woman but she's quickly finding out that in this tourny simple beauty isn't likely to be enough considering the competition she's going to be facing. I had to vote against her for the second straight week, and my peers here at Wu's seemed to agree with that decision as Sarah Michelle-Gellar cruised past her to an easy victory.

Speaking of easy victories, thanks for comming out Brittnay Snow, but if she thinks she's gonna hang with Scarlett Johansson, she's got a long way to go.

In a couple of the more intense matchups this week, I was happy, relieved and excited to see my girl Shakira emerge victorious over Lindsay Lohan. That battle was a no contest in my book, as although Lohan is cute, Shakira is far sexier in every aspect of beauty from head to toe. I was worried Lindsay might steal alot of votes with her penchant for always getting into the spotlight and attracting people's attention so I was happy to see Shakira rebound from last weeks loss by stomping Lohan.

I had Megan Fox over Duff but when I voted I figured it would be alot closer than it ended up. Megan has not only started the season 2-0, she is steamrolling the competition and she looks poised to establish herself as the top rookie in the competition as well as a top contender to win the whole tournament.

When I finally was able to figure out who to vote for in what I considered the two toughest matchups of the week, I ended up siding with the girl who would up comming out on top when all was said and done. I had Katharine McPhee over Elisha Cuthbert. I didn't really have to think about it when placing that vote, but I was still amazed that McPhee lost last week so I went through some pics of her to make sure her feet were in fact as gorgeous as I understood them to be, and they were, but when comparing to Cuthbert's feet I was stopped in my tracks momentarily and sort of captivated by how sexy Elisha is, moreso just as a total woman. She's got those bedroom eyes, and she's just an increadably hot girl, but then when I got back down to the ankles and compared feet, I ended up going back to my original thoughts and selected Katherine McPhee whose feet are in my opinion, second to none.

The only matchup tougher for me to decide on was Eva Mendez vs. Kate Beckinsale. In the classic battle of sex appeal vs. pure beauty, it took me about an hour and 45 minutes before I finally caved and voted for Beckinsale, as I just happened to be in more of a mood for admiration than masterbation at the time and Beckinsale's beauty won out at that moment when my vote was cast. If I were to compare the pictures again right now I could just as easily vote for Mendez. This matchup feetured two awesome women with a combined imperfection count of exactly 0. Without a doubt this matchup had game of the week written all over it so it was only fitting that it went down to the wire and ended up being decided by a single vote.

Those were the matchups I had right. In the 5 other contests where the board disagreed with me, two of them came as no surprise. I picked what I considered to be two major upsets, Tara Reid over defending champion Carmen Electra. Reid to me, is every bit as sexy as Electra, and being a little younger I went with Tara in hopes she might catch the champ on cruise control taking her lightly. I couldn't have been more wrong. Electra didn't just win, she basically raped Reid in the most lopsided lambasting of the week. Carmen walked up one side of her and down the other to the tune of a 21 vote romp, holding Tara to single digits. Thanks to the great turn out this week Reid was the only lady who scored a single digit number in the entire field which can only mean one thing, Carmen Electra hasn't lost a step and is not suffering any jitters or wilting under the pressure of trying to defend the most coveted prize a Celeb can recieve. (No, despite the fact it's Academy Awards weekend, I'm not taking about the Oscar's as they pale in comparison) I'm taking about the Salvatore Ferragamo, a far more prestigious honor that requires far more realness, sexiness, and undeniable beauty in order to attain. Carmen Electra so far seems to be focused on that monumental task and with 2 weeks in the books she's been flawless & appears ready to repeat.

In my other upset of the week I had Adriana Lima over Eva Longoria and I damn near hit that one. Eva was able to squeek it out by a single vote in a war that ended up tying Kate Beckinsale-Mendez as the closest matchup of the week. Even though Lima didn't win it, I'm glad to see I was not the only one who thought her sexy tattooed tootsies had what it took to hang with the Desperate Housewife. The bad news for Lima is that close only counts in horseshoes & hand grenades so dispite the strong effort, she finds herself at 0-2.

I got smoked on the Biel-Kardashian matchup. I had Biel but Kardashian demolished her to jump to 2-0 on the season and perhaps grab Carmen Electra's attention as an emerging division rival that she's never had to deal with before.

I had Aniston over Burke in one of those toss up battles I spoke of earlier. I couldn't decide between these two for quite sometime, but finally ended up going with Aniston only to see her fall short in the end.

Vanessa Hudgens and Hayden Panettiere was another war. I spent a long time pondering who to choose in this matchup as well, and while I found myself on the right side of the McPhee and Beckinsale encounters, I ended up going with Panettiere in this one and she lost. I can't really say I'm upset or shocked by Hudgens winning, as her feet are smoking and this one was a very tough decision for me. With all things being equal below the ankles, I found Panettiere to be a little bit hotter overall, so I ended up going with her when I voted, but I can definatly see a valid case being made for Hudgens possibly having the prettier feet.

Overall it was another great week with lots of interesting encounters, some dominant performances, some hard fought battles, some really close calls, including a pair of matches decided by only one vote. You can't ask for much more than that...but thanks to Mr. National, you can look forward to doing it all again next Tuesday. See ya'all then. Cheers!
