a wile ago(mighta been a couple years ago)a guy came on this site and he either posted pics or sent a link with pics of younger girls(cant remember its been a wile)and I remember rippin him an asshole about it(as did other members)and his defense was ''what?they are just feet''not too long after his post was removed.I wonder if this was the guy that was on dateline.

I remember that thread. Dumb a$$ f***! Glad it/he was removed from this site . I appreciate the diligence in members helping police up this site. This is one of the best sites for quality, maturity, and overall membership.

I missed that fiasco but wanted to mention that, prompted by Footman9, I have watched how the membership here is so very supportive of others and will also let the posters know when they are about to cross a line (or have already). I may have mentioned it before but I think that the people here are simply the greatest! I am privileged (no hyperbole here) to be among you.

I shouldn't pile on, but I recently e-mailed him about how he can make money in what I deemed to be San Diego scenery? The women there are uber hot, but very clique and conservative. He claimed to be blessed...I never saw this comin'...

I've only seen this show once or twice but I remember seeing him on it. I'm reading the transcript right now though and he asks her if she's an undercover cop trying to catch online predators and she says no. Now obviously I'm not supporting the guy but that is clearly entrapment right there. The guy is fucking stupid though for continuing his conversation with what he believed was a 13-year-old when he's clearly paranoid that he was talking to an undercover cop working for Dateline. He got what he deserved.

No clue who the guy is or that he was a member her, but I usually watch To Catch A Predator when they air. What's interesting is that it seems like the law is slowly turning against the program: the very last program (or the one before last, I forget which), ALL the guys caught went free through some legal loophole, something about how Dateline was acting as the law instead of, well, the law, how the police gave them too much power. Then one of the "accused" committed suicide and that was a wrap. In fact, I'm wondering if any of the guys that were EVER featured has been convicted, except for that one ex-cop who showed up with a mini-arsenal in his van to kidnap a little boy. Seems like the only punishment they're getting is that now the public, their friends and family, now know they like to mess with kids. Is that enough, though?

Coed is right; This happened 2 years ago; and it's pretty annoying that folks keep talking about it. But then again, I understand. That's what I get for doing something soooo stupid.
Some of the more annoying aspects of this is how people view you afterwards; People who don't know me personally, who have never talked to me about anything at all, who decide that I am a certain type of person, just because they saw me on the show.
Nevermind that I was not one of the main people; that I was mostly a segway, that I didn't go to the house; People never look at that. People assume that if you're on that show, you are a sicko who desires underage women; People don't read the conversation first, to see that I wasn't interested. They don't see that I asked about older sisters; and most of all, they don't Chat. They don't know what's going through a chatters mind. And what's even worse is, they didn't see the photos that I saw, which helped lead me down a path I did not want to go.
Let me say this before I go any further - What I did was wrong - It was stupid - and I'm paying a price for it;
In case you folks didn't read my blog on the site (which is very much still active, and has been) I copped to what I did right away; I made no excuses, I place no blame on anyone other than me, for my Actions.
But in dealing with the perceptions people have, there comes a point where you must ask people to get more information on what's actually going on with these 'shows' - Dateline is very much under fire right now; the tactics used to get guys onto the show are being questioned; Are they catching actual threats? Men who really do have a desire for underage women? ... Or, are they enticing men who otherwise would not be interested, into being interested?
These are Adults afterall - many people seem to forget that while watching the show; these men are not talking to a kid, who thinks like a kid, and will go away when told to go away; These are adults - who have a mission - who will do anything it takes to get men to bite; And when they do, they get paid.
So... dateline puts together a show, that entertains, and for the most part, fools people into thinking they KNOW who these guys are; Some really do have a problem; But most??
It saddens me that people got upset when seeing me on the show; that people connect foot fetish with dateline; what I did has Nothing to do with any of you out there; nothing at all. Why people are making those connections is beyond me.
I said some really horrible things in my conversation; I let my own self down that day. I've had to pay a stiff price for my actions; And my guess is, people will continue to drag this topic through the mud for years to come; people will continue to call me things that do not fit; Even though they don't know me - they don't know what my friends or family think about this; People who've know me my entire life; people who would have me locked up if they felt I was really that kind of person - because I would've tried to do something to their kids; they would have heard about me trying to do something to someone else's kids ... but the fact is, I'm NOT that kind of person.
So, why did I do it?
If you've ever been to a chat room, one of the first things you'll soon realize is, most people are not taking what they do or say while in there, very seriously; If anyone read my convo, in the beginning I told her to go away; but she wouldn't - So I started talking nasty in hopes that she would go away, grossed out, not wanting to bother me - but she liked it. Then she shows me photos - very adult photos, of her (supposedly) dressed pretty seductively; She looked old enough; I talked myself into being ok with it - and I was completely wrong for that; We kept talking, but in my mind, I was planning on keeping it purely internet; a convo, just for kicks.
If you're not a chatter - then you won't realize that steamy conversations take place there all the time; and usually, nothing ever comes of it. Usually the woman isn't interested in 'doing it for real' - So, part of me figured, this will never really happen anyways, what is the harm? But, I was wrong ...
When it became a 'real poossibility' of meeting up, that part of the convo isn't shown; People don't know that after we talked, I shut my computer off and went out with friends to a bar, that I hit on plenty of adult women - they don't realize that the next morning when I woke up, this girl had Buzzed me 20 times, saying 'where are you, where are you' - many don't even know what "Buzzes" are - they don't realize that She invited me to the house; that I didn't want to go; they didn't hear the phone conversation where I told her, "Im just coming to say hello for a few, and then Im heading somewhere else."
So... People don't actually know, that I was NOT gonna do anything; But it totally looks like I was; And really, that's the most annoying part of this. I know what was in my mind; No one else does; And yet, even I have to admit that my actions make me look like I was intending to do something; It's really all my fault - and I can't blame others; All I can really do is try to distinguish between what I did, and what I am often called because of it (most always by people who don't know me personally ...);
I'm a flirtacious guy, I always have been - there would Be No Foot sites without guys like me who want to meet women, and take photos of their feet - so that people like You all can enjoy them, doing whatever it is that you do to photos (and videos) of women's feet; Let's hope Dateline doesn't decide to do a show on that; They have the power to make all of you look like a bunch of sicko's - Most people will believe whatever is shown, and won't research or question what is reproted.
However my Site is a testimony to my preference; I like adult women with nice legs and nice feet;
My site has never promoted anything related to underage anything. You won't find me commenting on the Various "barefoot seniors" posts that are found on many Foot boards; photos that are often of 17 and 16 year olds;
People get a lot of false impressions - the only thing they get right, is that I should not have been talking to anyone, the way I was talking to them, if they really were that age; Again I say it was wrong, and stupid of me to do that; It was completely out of character for me - and for so many; and that is precisely why this show has raised so many questions;
The former Producer of the show; Marsha Bartel sued the show over her firing; when she had a problem with the tactics being used; NBC won that case, having the right to fire anyone for any reason, but the Evidence she lays out really sheds light on how this show catches so many "so called predators"
Her case, raised Concerns over the Legality of this show and how it's prosecuting it's Victims; Rolling Stone wrote a piece about this that raises questions and even compares this to the modern day Witch Hunt (you know, the one where people were accused of being witches, and killed, even though many were Not Withces...?)
The D.A. in Murphy Texas threw the cases out. In his opinion this had more to do with Entertainment than Law - which raises the question of why did OTHER police forces and OTHER D.A.'s go along with it? Perhaps a pay off??
Again, what I did was wrong - I'll continue saying that - But do any of you really think I would've been on that show, if they weren't going around tempting guys to take the 'bait' ...? I guess if I would've used my head that day, been smart about it, been responsible about it, then yea - you are right, I would not have landed on that show; But, that goes against what most people do in chat rooms....
Most people are saying whatever, to whoever, for Kicks! I wasn't thinking about the law; I was getting a good raunchy Laugh; It was a huge mistake; A stupid mistake; I didn't do it because I have a fondness for minors; I simply was not using my brain; I was being irresponsible; And really, what I've been doing since then, is helping others avoid making the mistake I made. You'll hear more about these efforts, on the site, in the coming year.
I'm working with people who want to get this done the Right way; Most Predators are Not hanging out in Chat rooms; Most Chat rooms, are Full of Adults; Don't believe me? Download Yahoo Messenger, and Log into a Chat room; go to the Local rooms - California, Georgia, Florida, etc... - tell me how many minors you see. Most likely you won't find any at all - what you will find, are a bunch of Sex Bots - Spamming the room with Sex Sites - Horny men - and women who hate all the horny men;
Many have suggested that Yahoo Owns the sex bots; And the history of Perverted Justice is well known - These are Chatters - who had/have an axe to grind with other Chatters; That's who these people are... which brings in another aspect of the Chatting World that is unknown to people who don't chat.
While lots of guys are trying to meet women in chat rooms; there are lots of women who Hate guys that wanna meet women; and lots of guys who Hate guys, that wanna meet women; fights and arguments are almost always started over this aspect of chat - and that's who these people are; These are people who 'get off' on trying to make others misrable; That is where the idea came from; if you read about it you'll find it to be true.
The founder had an arch-enemy in chat - he set the guy up to think he was having cyber sex with another woman; he sent the chats to his Wife; and ruined the guys marriage.
That's who these people are - so it's important to note, that this show is not a show about catching Real Dangers to society; These are men who simply are dumb enough to take the bait; They do it because of How interested the 'decoy's' are, compared to the other women; For me, the two words that really sum up my emotions when I decided to go ahead and talk to this person who would not go way is... "Fuck it."
Im sure a lot of guys reach that same point; these decoys just don't go away; 20/20 did a story on this ...
This show caused one guy to off himself; yea he had a conversation online; but he didn't want to meet - he didn't want to do anything - the 'decoy' pestered and bothered the guy; called, and left taunting messages; They couldn't get the guy to show up; So they went to his house with Cameras ready to Ruin this guys life; and He decided he did not want to deal with it; so he offed himself; NBC is being sued for that as well as we speak;
This guy, was not gonna do anything. At least not anything more than "talk/type" about it online. But NBC was so hungry for a story, so lusting after filming some Shock TV, that they pushed this man to kill himself; rather than live a life, where people thought of him in a way which may not have been true (apparently the guy was gay, so I guess that was probably his main concern, not wanting people to know he was really into men.)
A random commenter made an excellent point on ABC's site about this:
"Bottom line- human beings do bad things, when the worst of their natural instincts are stimulated. I guarantee that an overwhelming percentage of people, if baited to steal- would probably steal if it was easy enough. I mean let's look at this from a Darwinistic point of view. Is anyone else shocked by how many males actually go through with meeting up with young girls in just the given aresa where the show tends to shoot? Nevermind, because I for one am not. Males tend to be the more sexually concerned gender, and that's quite universal. What we need to look at critically is what our society considers wrong and right. Edgar Allan Poe married his 13 old cousin when he was, I believe, 27 years old- which would make one of the greatest poets and authors in American history a pervert, and disgusting human being. With every generation, laws, customs, and expectations for behavior are slightly changed, but that doesn't make something "RIGHT" or "WRONG". It seems that most people who have commented here see the world in black and white and fail to see the gray area, that will be in existance as long as there are human beings. Now, I agree- by American law these girls are not of a consenting age- but on from a much larger perspective, there is nothing unusual occuring here. I know this is an extremely long post; but if you folks want to continue talking about me being on this show, then I felt it was important to help you realize that there is a Lot more going on here; Some of you may be too quick to judge; Some of you are being misled, to believe things about people you don't really know; And alot of you are grouping all the men on this show together and throwing them into a pile, rather than looking at them individually to see that some of these guys really do have a problem, and some were in the wrong place, wrong time, with the wrong state of mind; Who otherwise would not do anything like this, if they weren't being baited...
There are variables here... something like this could really happen to any of us if we're not careful; if we're not thinking responsibly at all times, especially while online; If any of you should ever find your selves being talked to by, or flirted with by an underage person - Block them - Put them on Ignore - do NOT have any contact with this person - about anything.
I've had to serve probation, time in jail, 60 days Cal-Trans (which is hard fucking work), and its cost me a lot of money - close to $30k (which I didn't have..) - It's also cost me Reputation and perspective points; I'm very thankful to the people who've continued to support my site, although I know a LOT more would, if this never happened; I know tons of people hate me, for what I did, even though it was out of character for me to do it; and that sucks...
I would never hurt or harm anyone. I'm a nice guy, and my niceness was taken advantage of. It's one of my biggest regrets; if only I were more of an asshole, I would've told her to go the hell away soon as she said her age; I'm a intelligent guy with dumb moments, and this will forever be one of my dumbest; but ... as I've said from the beginning, something really good can come out of all this.
Perhaps parents are doing more parenting; keeping an eye on what their kids are doing online; perhaps more men know what to avoid now, so they don't catch a case for what they were 'thinking'. And perhaps people can gain a new perspective on what they watched; after reading articles from others, after getting more informed; perhaps they can begin to view this show for what it is; Entertainment - not News - a bunch of guys being baited to ruin their lives; not a show about keeping kids safe from harm;
And for me... a big lesson, that I must think before I do anything; Traps are everywhere in this society, and I must be careful, and thoughtful at all times; I hope people here can forgive me... I'll be apologizing for this one forever. And I hope you can forgive some of the guys on this show... not all are as bad, or as sick, as you've been led to believe.
