How about listing some good things that have happened to you recently.

Recently? Hmmmm, well, some of them are a tad too personal to talk about here, but the best relatively recent good experience that I can talk about was the night I left my (now) ex-wife.
I won't go into a long-story of dirty laundry, but I remember that night like it was last night. I jetted out the door, hopped in the car, and took off for my friend's apartment. He and I had talked about "what if" I left the maddening bitch and made plans. I was to go pick him up, call the police, go back to my house after the police got there first, and he and I were to pack all my game systems and games, all my clothes and necessities, while the cops kept her at bay.
So anyway, as I drove down the road on that warm and slightly humid summer night, window down and the breeze blowing in, I never felt more free and alive in my life. Just imagine getting a burden that was breaking your back lifted, and a new lease on salvaging your life...I was a bird out of its cage...an experience I don't think could ever get repeated.
This probably sounds lame, but those who have been in utterly rotten marriages/relationships might be able to see why this was so special to me.

1) This may sound mushy but its one of the things that keeps a smile on my face and me waking up every morning. My family is taken care of and healthy. I do not take these things for granted and they make me happy every day. I have a very close friend (from middle school) whos son had cancer. He died last year, he was 7. So no matter how many post I put in the anger thread I am always happy that my family is healthy, happy, and has what they need.

Today I got half the day off! And yesterday a got a salary raise! Life isn't too bad for me today

Here are a couple of my recent good experiences.
The day I finally left my horrible job. I just went in there one morning a few months back, packed up my stuff & left. It felt great. The money was good, but the job was horrible. Too much stress & never any recognition. So I went back to driving truck. Just me, the open road & no stress! The money's still good too!
Last Friday night, the wife & I went to a bar to watch some local bands play. Turns out, the bass player in one of the bands is an old high school friend of mine. So we got to do some catching up after the show & I told him that I was still interested in playing music so we made plans to get together for a "jam session" this weekend.

My dog, who doesn't appear to have any health problems (vet appointment yesterday, results given today).
