There's a Vietnamese Cafe that I go to frequently. They have these Vietnamese sandwiches that are really good, very delicious (and cheap).
It's two pieces of french bread with meat (spicy), noodles (almost like vermicelli), thin cucumber slices and some other things. These sandwiches are DELICIOUS, hot and spicy. They cost $1.25.
I was the only non-Viet in the place (about ten other people), ordered the sandwich in English. The guy behind the counter says:
"We have a special American breakfast sandwich, same price, real good". It was so nice of the guy to make this offer, so I accepted of course and said "That will be great".
The guy fries an egg in a hot black pan (takes about a minute); then he goes over to the counter, pulls out one of the Vietnamese sandwiches, opens it up and slides the fried egg into the sandwich - folds the sandwich back up, wraps it and hands it to me.
THIS was the "American Breakfast" sandwich! Not only was this hilarious but it was just plain NICE and it tasted GREAT.
