So, free-spirited country act Zac Brown Band is stirring up some big trouble at radio with their new single "Toes", mostly due to the repeating line "I got my toes in the water/Ass in the sand..." & a line @ the end of the 2nd verse where he sings "Gonna lay in the hot sun/And roll a big fat one/And I'll grab my guitar & play"
I personally love the song & I admire how the band has refused to release a "sanitized version". But now radio DJs are editing the song themselves to create an extremely awkward "radio-friendly" version.
Have a listen & decide for yourself whether the song should be censored or not...
-------------------- Dave, there’s an old story that this reminds me of: I cried because I had no desk until I met a man who had no feet, and the no-feet guy explained that there was such a thing as a budget…and WNYX was way, way over it. The End Posts: 200 | Registered: Sep 2007

...worse stuff than "ass" and the passing mention of drugs have got through the radio edit - look at Robbie Williams for one.
And I was listening for the first time as I was typing this - the Spanish bit fucking rocks (I love Spanish stuff) Have a listen to La Camisa Negra by Juanes at some point

Not a typical country fan and there doesn't seem to be anythin' wrong with it from my POV. Seems to me, if this is stirring up alot of commotion, why play it on the radio unless either country music is really clean or the it might be a gospel station
I like it , type of song you can sing along to while you're drunk
