Game cube..Sashas baby. She kicks ASS at her games! She just doesnt want to be thought of as a geek.lol.Dont tell her I told ya. Total brain/geek in school..lol Sorry I got off track a little.
Got the PS2 about three months ago to play my buddies online..
I play Madden and Madden only( been playing now for 10 yrs).I'm a Madden freak! Ask Queen Sasha she will tell you.
One line Madden is....ok. Fair play and only 5 minute quarters. Online is kind of like arena football, compared to when I play my buds in person. We play 10 minute quarters on ALL MADDEN.
The best is when my buddies come over. We go down in the basement throw on the surround sound, crank up the 42 inch flat screen, dink some cold ones and go!
I remember when my family sat around in awe with the atari system.....PONG!

quote: Seriously, since I opened Soles of Silk, my games have started to collect dust. Three new games not even opened yet!
But see, that's the beauty about owning games, you play them when you want to or when you can...no rush...total control...
quote: I can't say I own that game. Should I?
Yes, yes, and hell yes you should! I can't think of a single thing about Ikaruga to criticize. Seriously, I can't get enough of it. I've beat it a gazillion times, but the way the game is set up, I keep going back for more, trying to do better.
I'll give you the basics of it, and if you'd like more detail, I'll be all to happy to gush about it some more.
You play as a man named Shinra, pilot and the last survivor of a freedom federation known as the Tenkaku. The Tenkaku were fighting the conquests of a power-mad dictator named Tenro Horai, who used the power of a jewel he dug up (the Ubusunagami Okinokai-The Power of the Gods) and his followers who have pretty much conquered nation after nation.
Shinra is shot down over the remote village of Ikaruga, where he is rescued by the aged inhabitants who were exiled there by Horai's clan. After his recovery, Shinra makes it clear that he's going to stop Horai or die trying, so the inhabitants entrust him with a fighter plane they've been building in secret named, appropriately enough, the Ikaruga...
With this understanding of the story, the game-play will make perfect sense. The Ubusunagami Okinokai gave Horai the powers of light and dark...i.e. black and white. One power can cancel out the other...all of Horai's ships will follow in this design. The Ikaruga has the powers of both black and white, with the ability to switch off at any given time, so now the playing field is a bit more level...
If a white enemy attacks you, you can attack back with double firepower if your ship is black, and vice versa. If you're the same polarity as an enemy, you can absorb their shots, but it takes a little longer to destroy said enemy. If an enemy of an opposite polarity shoots you, you're deader than fried chicken. Absorb enough shots though, and you can release the energy into tracking beams that do a lot of damage. Mass destruction! Hell yeah!
You following along so far? I hope so, because it gets a bit more complex.
You can blast your way through levels, shooting everything that moves indiscriminately, or you can start making chains, and therein lies the addiction factor.
Destroy three enemies of the same polarity, and you get a piece of a chain. Destroy three more same-polarity enemies, you get another piece, and your score doubles. Example: Destroy three blacks- 1 piece Destroy three blacks- 2 piece Destroy three whites- 3 piece And so on until you make a 16 piece chain. Once there, your score stops doubling, but you can keep adding pieces to the chain... Easy, right?
Wrong! Because once you destroy an enemy of an opposite polarity, you break the chain, and you start over with no chains. You don't have to repeat the level, but all your hard work can disappear in a *poof* of one lousy misplaced shot. Example: Destroy three blacks- 1 piece Destroy three blacks- 2 piece Destroy three whites- 3 piece Destroy two blacks, but then one white- broken chain!
So this adds to the replay value like you wouldn't believe. In the first level alone, it's possible to get a 120 piece chain by the time you fight the boss...I have only maxed 46...
Now, about the bosses...these guys can either be a single polarity, mixed polarities, or able to switch off their polarities, and of course you have to adjust your strategy in fighting them.
The gameplay is classic 2D shooter bliss...with all the added bells and whistles of 3D rendering. The graphics will impress you to no end, and once you hear that beautiful soundtrack you'll be totally immersed.
Anymore questions? Shoot! I can talk about this game all day and never get tired of it.
I sure hope you'll pick it up, I'd like to be able to talk strategies.

Ain't nobody gonna judge her like that around here! Actually, I think she's even more cool because she owns a system I like a lot...but then, maybe I'm a geek for thinking that way too...

Right now I am the King of unfinished games. Either I get tied down with something else or I get a new game and don't get back to the old ones. I have to finish quite a few of these damn things! Here is my list:
Zelda Windwaker WWE Day of Reckoning Resident Evil 0 Resident Evil 4 GTA San Andreas Resident Evil Dead Aim Resident Evil Outbreak True Crime Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay (haven't even opened it yet) Fable (not opened yet either) Halo 2 Knights of the Old Republic 2 (been playing the hell out of this, loved the first one so much!) X-Men Legends (can't beat the f'in boss!)

I been playing KOTOR II a lot too Patrick. Which part you on? You on Light or Dark side? I'm leaning towards the light just because I was so blatantly evil in the last game...oh and a word of warning, KOTOR II is a MUCH better game than Fable was...what a dissapointment. If you trade in your used games, I'd go ahead and return it if its still in its wrapping. Nowhere near the depth that Knights has...14 hours long!!!

Here goes..... Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon SW: KOTOR Post Mortem Temple of Elemental Evil Jekyll & Hyde ST: Bride Commander Arthurs Quest Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark Arcanum ST: SFC (any and all expansions) Anachronox ST: Away Team ST: Dominion Wars Martian Gothic The Longest Journey Druuna Icewind Dale II Arx Fatalis Morrowind Myst III Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor Phantasmagoria II Of Light and Darkness ST: Armada 1 & 2 ST: THN A Final Unity Dino Crisis 1 & 2 Nocturn SW: Jedi Academy (crashed on me - lost saves) Runaway Riven Atlantis: The Lost Tales SW: Battle for Naboo Citizen Kabuto Black & White 1 .... and about 15 million more buried around my desk I can't see right now.
I am going with Light Side. I also did with the first one too, although I began playing again as Dark Side later. I am not really following the book at all. I only use it if I can't figure out what the Hell to do. After Peragus and Telos, I decided to go to Nar Shadar. I got over half my party members there right away. Then I went to Dantooine and now I am on Ondaron. Pretty backward, huh? Hard levels first, I guess.
By the way, my character's name is Paris Hilton. It is so funny to see things like "Paris Hilton Armband" and the "Paris Hilton Crystal." I do have her armored though. I thought about leaving the Hutt dancer's costume on her because that is probably the closest thing to her kind of apparel in Star Wars.
Thanks for the heads up on Fable. But 14 hours right now sounds right up my alley. Maybe I will be able to remove it from my uncompleted list.
Damn. Plug in those controllers girl! But hey... Who am I to talk? I only listed the recent title unfinished list. I mean, I could have added in GTA Vice City, Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force, Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, Mummy Returns, Metal Gear Solid 2, Enter the Matrix, Metal of Honor Frontline, and a slew of games for the PS1. Wanna get together and game? We can quit work and veg out in the basement and get all kinds of pale white while we catch up on the polygons.

I too only listed my recent unfinished games, but I still think its a hella lot shorter than Calli's list! Nar Shadaa was a pretty hard level Patrick, Im surprised you went there first. I went to Dantooine, Onderon , Nar Shadaa, and Im at Korriban right now. I'm pissed because I think I lost my chance to rebuild HK-47...there were some HK's on Peragus that I may have missed for remains and all I need is his vocabulator! He was a funny guy...

Dark Side: Nar Shadar, Dantooine, Onderon, Korriban.
I like to be a little stronger before I fight Master Vrook as a Dark Side character. It makes him a little easier to manage.
Hey Mystick, did you check the remains of the one HK50 droid you face on Peragus II? The one you fight before getting on the Harbinger? That's the only HK47 part that I know of on Peragus II.
I had the HK-47 as a party member leaving Nar Shadar. I just collect everything I see and bought some items from vendors that sounded as if they'd be something I could use to upgrade him. Funny thing is, I didn't like his character in the first game and I don't in this one either. He stays on the Ebon Hawk as does Go-To. My party members usually consist of Paris Hilton (my created chick), Visas and either Atton or Mira. Being I have the female lead character, I have Deciple on board, but never took him out. I can't stand Kierra cause she is so darn weak! Bao Dur is okay, but I rarely take him out either. And the small droid, I only used on board Goto's ship at Nar Shadar. And I just got Mandolore going to Onderon. The Wookie and Handmaiden are not characters available to me.
As for Nar Shardar, I didn't find it hard at all, actually. I make my character a melee specialist with all kinds of power attacks. Then I keep people like Atton at ranged with blasters. And if all else fails, he dies and comes back to life every few seconds anyhow. Just leave him out there and he'll get back up and shoot, die, get up, kill, die, get back up, kill, etc...
And by going to Nar Shardar right after Telos, I had all these characters early on:
Paris Hilton (funny everytime I write it) Kierra T3-M4 Atton Bao Dur Visas Mira Go-To HK-47 (when I left the planet)
Here are the places to find the HK-47's components. I looks like I still have yet to get one. Oh well, he's been walking and talking on the Ebon Hawk. I thought he was ready:
1. HK-50 Droid Remains: Peragus Mining Facility 2. Buy from Kodin: Nar Shaddaa at Refuge Landing Pad 3. HK-50 Droid Remains: Nar Saddaa at Vogga's Warehouse 4. Buy from 1B-8D: Onderon at The Western Square

I started on KOTOR, got as far as the duleling game. I suck.

Ack! I didnt get the part on Peragus! Crap crap crap. Well...guess I wont be rebuilding him any time soon...oh well. I use Kreia/Visas and Mandalore. I have Mandalore decked to the gills with a Vibro Double-Blade (9-39 damage!) and a Heavy Repeating Blaster (6-34 damage!). And of course the two light saber peoples. I have a male character, but I never got the wookie for some reason. G0-T0 is worthless...I wish I could destroy it.
