We're finding some incredible feet in Instagram land. If you have a smartphone you should definitely get that free app. Between that and Tumblr you can kill hours upon hours checking out all the feet.

I don't really understand any of this stuff, like how to search for stuff or find people or whatever but what I like about that tumblr is you just click the link or now that I made an acct, I just log in and because I'm following her, all your updates are right there. That other one, instagram, I don't really understand it. Is like Twitter for feet or something?

All of us have an ideal in our minds, I guess. As far as my ideal, I have to try hard to find a flaw here lol! So lovely.
I know it's not the season but, nylon shots are always welcome hehehe...or of course anything "toe spread". Its been awesome so far. Perhaps a really SLOW toe spread vid? And maybe a quick peak between pedis of those bare toe nails? Hmmmm?
Regarding Instagram, it's basically a mini social network for smartphone pictures. You use it to snap a pic, add one of several neat filters, add a border or adjustable blur and you've turned what might have been a mediocre shot into something more interesting. Add some hash tags like #feet #soles #footfetish and the image is now searchable for everyone using the Instagram app. You can like and comment on others' photos and follow interesting people. It just grows and grows.
One of the neat things about it is that it hooks into other services. So when you post to Instagram you have the option to also have the pic posted on Tumblr or Flickr or a number of other places. It's a great entry point for quickly getting content on the web. I've gotten in the habit of pausing during photo shoots with my nicer camera and taking a few iPhone snaps for posting to Instagram later. Of course it's easy for her to snap photos of her feet randomly and post them as well.
Like I've said there are some really great pics out there. Marcus, Patrick, Barbigurl, and other big names regularly add content along with many many others that we're finding every day. Regarding the website, Instagram doesn't yet have an official web presence. But, there are a number of unofficial web front-ends for it such as web.stagram.com that I linked above. You can't post using the web interface but you can view, search, like, comment, etc. with it which is nice.

Question for you Weeka: What kind of tracking does instagram use? Does it geotag the photos, or associate your phone number or IP with posted images? Does it use your personal contact info? I know you're an iPhone user but my question also pertains to Android.
And yes, I know that Android is not the ideal OS for tinfoil-hat-wearing privacy nuts like me.

Unless you put your phone number or other personal information in your profile, the app has no knowledge of it. Not sure if Instagram tracks IPs behind the scenes but I've seen no evidence that they use that. You can choose to not include georeferenced location data with your photos. You can also choose to make all of your information and photos private. Lots of people do that and just use the service to follow others.
