As a pro footographer I have always worked with "amateur models". To me, "amateur model" means any girl not posing to earn a living. All my models are students and/or or have their own, non-modelling regular jobs. Most of my BAREFOOT URBAN GIRLS pose for me for three reasons (the order of importance varies according to the girl): 1) earning welcome extra money; 2) having great fun; 3) feeling sexy and enjoying the fans' (and the photographer's!!! ) excitement..
All my respect for professional models (some are truly cool & friendly girls, like Cecilia Descalza): yet I could NEVER shoot a girl who is not interested in my projects, who models for the money only, or who would NEVER get her soles dirty and flash her tits & pussy just for the fun of doing it.
Now.. if "amateur content" means BORING COLLECTIONS of CRAPPY LOW-RES PICS of UGLY WIVES (or, even worse, of their feet only), taken with a SHITTY CELLPHONE.. sorry, but this stuff - which PLAGUES THE ENTIRE WORLD WIDE WEB - just makes me BARF!!!
By my definition in my earlier post, I would call you a "vendor." And you want to avoid like the plague exactly the kind of stuff some of us would like to see a separate section for. I guess it would be nice to separate them out, huh?

Wu, whether by accident or by design, caters to producers of pro/commercial content, and provides a great vehicle for them to advertize. This naturally attracts viewers who have a preference for that sort of content.
I was pleased to read Feetosopher's honest rant, as I feel he sumes up the mindset of the typical Wu dweller.
Those who loathe " ... BORING COLLECTIONS of CRAPPY LOW-RES PICS of UGLY WIVES (or, even worse, of their feet only), taken with a SHITTY CELLPHONE... stuff - which PLAGUES THE ENTIRE WORLD WIDE WEB" will be happy here.
To go back to the sentiments of the OP, for those who do prefer what FeetoSopher detests, there are other boards out there which cater to this specifically.

Also good words to the wise, not that necessarily it's "bad" material but yes a separate section for it would be nice so that viewers can go to either section depending on their mood for feet that day.

Hi there.. well, I have always been a supplier of pay websites, not a retailer.. but yes, I guess that I am a "vendor", after all.. and I hope it's not a crime!!!
I just expressed my personal opinion about A SPECIFIC TYPE of "amateur content". There are many extremely talented amateur footographers who take high-quality pictures of gorgeous, 100% amateur models.. I have maximum respect for those guys, and I am honored to be friends with some of them!!!
As for having a separate section in the forum dedicated to "amateur content".. it might be a smart idea, but of course the final word will be Wu's.. and I am sure it will be a word of wisdom!!!
Personally I would prefer GENRE-FOCUSED SUB-SECTIONS of the forum: it would be really useful for me if a sub-section of the forum was devoted to dirty feet & barefooting, and another to "non-footjob", classic style barefoot nude photography (oh, Elmer.. I miss you so much!!! ). However, given the extremely high number of niches and sub-niches in modern foot-related photography, I am afraid that such an approach would be impossible to adopt!!!

Dear Sir.. I am really relieved to see that there is still someone who shares a certain mindset about foot-related photography!!!
Sadly for me, I come from an era when they still tried to teach you to distinguish quality material from run-of-the-mill stuff and (most important) pure crap.. I have started taking pictures of (amateur!!! ) barefoot girls in the pre-internet era.. if you were a foot fetishist in Italy in the early 90s, and wanted to enjoy hot pics of barefoot girls, you had to save money for weeks, travel to a major city (100+100 miles, in my case), go to one of the few existing porn shops, and buy some issues of LEG SHOW. Being the whole affair quite complicated and expensive, you REALLY had to learn FAST which magazine offered the best value for money!!! Internet undoubtedly made our life easier: just a few clicks, and we have easy and cheap access to quality stuff from all around the world. The drawback (to me at least) is that the combination of cheap digital cameras and social networks has made anybody feeling that he/she is the new Elmer Batters and/or Bettie Page.. and now we are overwhelmed by BILLIONS of OFTEN TERRIBLE foot-related pictures ANYWHERE on internet.. and not necessarily for free!!! I am aware that it may sound weird to some but.. I'll FOREVER prefer spending some bucks to enjoy a tablet of Swiss chocolate.. than enjoying an entire dump truck of cowshit for free!!!

Please let me take the chance to clarify some points: 1) I would never question the right of anybody to post whichever content he/she likes, wherever he/she likes (in compliance with any rules applying in that place, of course). 2) I am perfectly comfortable with the fact that anybody might find fantastic the very stuff which I find instead heinous, and vice versa!!! 3) I am not so arrogant to teach lessons in footography to anyone here.. also because I operate in very specific niches, which seem to be of marginal interest to most forum members.

Very true, unfortunately. There have been a few amateur posters with AMAZING wives and girlfriends who post for a few months and then seemingly disappear into thin air. It's like clockwork. The reasons are various but it seems to be a combination of lack of interest and just discomfort with having pictures of themselves " out there". The story from Michelle from Oh My Hose is a prime example and if you want to take a more famous angle at it, Rex Ryan and his wife.
A filtered amateur sub-forum would be cool. I'm almost entirely into wives/girlfriend pics at this point but like the above poster said, most of it is just horrible closeups shot with a cell phone that the girl seemed to be unaware of. I like combinations of body shots, face shots, butt shots, etc.

I think that it doesn't matter if its a professional foot model, or a amateur foot model! If she is having fun its something great! I mean I have worked for lawyers, and made very good money...but I would still rather do my modeling, and photography any day, because its a passion, with a paycheck! Not just a paycheck!

Way back in the beginning of this thread someone mentioned that "amateur" (meaning wives, girlfriends) content got less praise by the masses than "non-amateur" content (I think we've beaten to death the semantical difference between the two). Ja2854 brings up a good point and perhaps the lack of praise given to these submitted pictures led these posters to go elsewhere or decide it's not worth the hassle or risk of exposure (like Mrs. Rex Ryan).
