I have some interesting quotes from footgirls. These are sometimes interesting, sometimes hilarious (though not always intentionally so) and sometimes sad. Either way, they give you an insight into the girl. What exactly goes on in the mind of a footgirl (or lack thereof)? Each quote is followed by the girl of it's origin, and a brief background with some context for it.
If we can find out what makes these girls tick, perhaps we can unlock the secret of why these girls love serving up FEET (and how to encourage more of those proclivities in others). Here goes:
"Essence of Bum Piss" ????? Footgirl Summer
... we were talking about an area of Seattle (Pioneer Square) that had a lot of late night crime problems and she said "It's so creepy and dingy down there and it smells horrible. You walk around and it's like essence of bum piss".
"Can we get that to go?" Footgirl Nikki
... while at a DRIVE THROUGH window at a Taco Bell - after completing the order, the Taco Bell Girl asked "Will there be anything else?" and Nikki replied "Can we get that to go?"
"I love being feminine and all that goes with that ..." Footgirl Amber
... during a general discussion I asked her what her first impression of our foot parties was and she said: "I love being feminine & all that goes with that and Feet is a big part of that. So I think it's why I fit in there".
"You don't have to have a dork to be great at games ..." Footgirl Trinity
... After taking over my brand new PS2 and wiping out everyone in the room on Gradius V, I said to Trinity "That's pretty good for a girl". She replied "You don't have to have a dork to be great at games, you just have to be one".
"I've got smelly feet" Footgirl Jacqueline
... confiding in me during a panicked moment, just before her first foot party.
"Going out for pedicures with the family" ????? Footgirl Kristin
... I asked Kristin how she kept her feet so outrageously soft and she said "Oh, just going out for pedicures with the family, things like that". Going out for pedicures with the family????? NICE FAMILY!
"As with the rest of my body" Footgirl Kirsten
... We were watching the Jet Blue airline emergency live on TV, and I was giving her a foot massage as we watched. I said to her "You use a lot of lotion on your feet to keep them this soft, don't you?" and she QUICKLY replied (without thinking) "As with the rest of my body!"
"So you plug that in and movies come out?" Footgirl Summer
... we were doing our footgirl briefing before a party and I presented Jyllian and Midge with cards, a cake and new DVD players in appreciation for their one-year "Footgirl Anniversary".
Summer asked Malory "What are those things?". Malory replied "DVD players, you watch movies on them". Summer then said "So you plug them in and movies come out?". Everybody cracked up, Malory remained cool and said "No sweetheart, you put a disc in them, they call the discs DVDs". Summer THEN asked "So what's on the disc?" Malory said "a movie" - then Summer says "Ohhhh. Yeah. Ok. Real nice presents!".
*This sounded almost like an Abbott and Costello routine to me*
"Girls like pretty things ..." Footgirl Liana
... we were in a Nordstrom store and there was a crowd of girls around an accessory tree. I asked "What's the great attraction, it's like bees flocking to honey?" and Liana replied "Girls like pretty things. It's why girls are pretty".
"When you're a girl you want to be pretty ..." Footgirl Malory
... while walking around in the Hawthorne district, we saw a little girl (about five or six years old) crossing the street and she was primping her hair as she walked. This was funny and Malory LOVED it, saying "She's ADORABLE!".
I said to Malory "It's something instinctive, isn't it? Even little ones start developing all the moves and nuances, even before they know what they are doing". Malory replied "When you're a girl you want to be pretty. You don't really wonder why but you really want to be pretty".
"I smell like Jasmine!" Footgirl Summer
... we were in a mall and Summer went into one of those fragrance places that sells all the bath oils, scented soaps and lotions, etc. I waited out at the coffee place across the way and when she came out, she was BEAMING! Huge smile on her face and literally beaming. She came up to me and said "I smell like Jasmine! Isn't it great?".
"Smell me first, you'll get more out of it" Footgirl Allyssa
... we were getting ready to take some foot photos and I suggested sucking her toes before we began. Allyssa layed back, planted both feet firmly in my face and said "Smell me first, you'll get more out of it". Good, F..king, GRIEF!
"I know why they love feet ..." Footgirl Liv
The first time I showed the website to Liv, she said "I know why they love feet. It's one of the best parts of a girl". WOW!
"I wanna be barefoot!" Footgirl Joy
I asked Joy what her favorite footwear was and she said "I wanna be barefoot". When I asked why she replied "Cause it feels great and because feet are attractive".
"Wanna suck 'em?!??" Footgirl Joy
In a mall, and Joy was wearing flip flops. A guy who loved the sight of her feet couldn't hold back his appreciation and actually forked up the courage to come up and
say to her "I'm sorry if you think this is weird but I just had to say you have beautiful feet and your toes are SO long". Joy, unflinchingly looked the guy right in the eye (with a HUGE, sweet smile) and said "Wanna suck 'em?"

Ok, I know this might not be the most exciting post of all time but these little snippets into the lives of real footgirls does (I believe) offer us a glimpse into what's behind the mind and motivation of a footgirl.

That is great Ben a very entertaining read. Cant believe Summer with that DVD player lollll, I used to be that spacy in high school but Im more aware now. They sound like characters to say the least, if I were that last dude you talked about and footgirl Joy said that after I worked up the courage to comment on her amazing feet, Id probably justy pass right out! hahaha, or say yes and see how serious she was!

They are "characters", that is certain! The guy who walked up to Joy in the mall - when Joy said that, he practically had a heart attack and he did flee! I asked her "What the HECK, where did THAT come from?" and she said "I have no idea, I'm as stunned as he is, I don't know WHY I said that!"
As for Summer and the DVD player episode - we are talking about a very dear girl who still uses cassette tapes for her primary source of music, and who has said a few times before "I'm not a technology girl" (another quote) ... most of us have pretty much figured that out.

She is! She really is, and these strange little things endear her to me (and others). We did (eventually) show her how it worked and within a week she had put one on lay away! By the time she got it paid off, she already had three discs.

"Essence of bum piss". That's about the funniest thing I've ever heard (LOLLL!). "Girls like pretty things" is CUTE and "Smell me first you'll get more out of it" is about the most unbelieveble thing ever. Thanks for this post Ben it is REALLY a lot of fun and you're right, it does shine a light on things.

Hey Ben that thing about Summer and her DVD thing, that's FUNNY. Shows Malory as a sweetheart too! After reading that quote and the "text messages from footgirls" all I could think of was "Pore Summer"! She has GOT to be the sweetest girl in the world!
