Hi joshmore, welcome aboard to Wu's! Here's a technical explanation for why your girlfriend's socks aren't smelly. The main thing that feeds foot smell is sweat. Feet are actually the parts of the body that perspire the most due to the large number of sweat glands they contain, but you must bear in mind that sweat is basically just a salt & water composition so it doesn't have a distinctive smell of its own. The smell is actually caused by bacteria on the skin that eats the sweat and excretes waste which has a strong odor.
So to answer your question, the main reason why some gals' socks smell more than others is because some gals simply sweat more than others. It's a variable physiological quality of human beings that's just par for the course. It also explains why sometimes a gal's feet will smell much more strongly than they do at other times -- it all has to do with how much she sweats at any given time. Hope this helped!

in addition to that.. if she wears the same shoe several days back to back, it increases the likelyhood of building up that bacteria colony in the shoe and thus having more of a scent than none. but women change shoes frequently enough that they don't build that up.. not to mention.. some women just don't sweat much
RPM
p.s. case in point.. my lady's feet sweat a lot. but she rotates her shoes so much.. they rarely have much of a scent to them. however, her work shoes that she wears a lot for multiple days at a time (even multilpe shifts a day) does have a scent to them... (at times strong.. but not offensive)

Well thank you CJ for over analyzing it to a most unsexual unappetizing clinical explanation to an aroma until just a second ago loved soooooo much!
As RPM also mentioned the number of shoes your lady puts through her rotation will definitely affect the odor. My wife has only one pair of athletic style shoes right now that she wears most of the time until things warm up more and then she goes sandal mode full time. Those shoes have built up a strong smell and pretty much anytime she puts them on her feet come out with that smell almost immediately.
If a girl is a big shoe collector you will probably find it hard to get a pair that carry the aroma as opposed to a lady that has less than a dozen (do any exist?) in her closet.
Don't quite think that I have ever heard it explained like that. Once again though, you da man !!!!

I don't think a women wearing the same shoes would make the smell better.my gf generally onely wears one pair of doc martins n her feet rarely stinks(sad to say).what I find weird is somtimes on a rare occation her feet will have that wonderful stinky smell wile wearing the boots.now from my knowlege, the best way to get your girls feet all smelly n yummy is have them wear open toed or sandles..also if they wear the same pair of socks or pantyhose for days or times from time without washing them supposivly does the trick

For sniffer, summer is always a two-edged sword. It is great to find the slippers and open-toe sandals back on the street, but the smell of our girl's feet becomes supressed by the constant ventilation that they get. WInter is a disaster in Canada (I miss Texas) as there is no foot sightings, but the foot scent is amazing when the lady comes back home. It is a trade off .....
