Well, I was reading up on foot fetishes a long time ago, when I found out a claim that teenagers would accidently give themselves fetishes through masturbation to various images. That gave me an idea, can you create a foot fetish? An interesting theory! Well, the problem is, who would be crazy enough to actually try it? Easy, a homosexual friend of mine (I guess once you cross that barrier, the others must not seem so crazy).
Alright, the hypothesis was: One could create their own fetish through continious stimulation (masturbation). So, we started it.
Day 1: My friend contacted me after his first time masturbating, said it was terrible, he could barely manage to orgasm, it was just horrible.
Alright. Perfect. This proved that he didn't have it to begin with. And I made sure of that before I started, anyway.
Days went by, and by about a week or so in, he contacted me, telling me that he didn't feel it was working. I told him to give it a few more weeks.
Week 2: By the end of it, he said that orgasms were coming easier, and he enjoyed it a tad bit more, and that toe sucking was a minor turn on to him, but the other stuff just wasn't there.
Week 3: By the end of week three, he reported that he was starting to enjoy all aspects, and developed a preference to toes. He said that he actually found himself glancing at guys' feet in the halls of his college, sometimes, even.
Week 4: Full developement of foot fetish. He said he had a strong turn towards feet, and looked out foot fetish porn videos wherever he could. He checked out guys' feet, and even talked to a guy about coming over for his first foot fetish experiment.
Conclusion: A fetish can be forcefully created via continious stimulation.
Yes, I know he's gay, but it means it applies to any guy, really. This experiment can be compared to the every single time they fed a dog they rang a bell, later they found when they rang a bell the dog's mouth would salvitate hungrily. This transits well into fetishism.
I thought about trying it for myself, but I already have a foot fetish, and I didn't want to push it any further than that out of sheer curiousity.
Anyway! Don't believe me? Try it for yourselves, though I think, since we all have foot fetishes here, that we're probably all satisfied, already, with our eccentricities.
So! Success! Any insights/opinions on the experiment? I'd love to hear some responses.

Seriously though, I'm not questioning your results because they sound very feasible, but what I am questioning is why somebody would want to impose a particular hang-up upon themselves. But then, there are some guys who hate being attracted to female feet and I guess this would come in handy for them if they wanted to, say, jump ship and join in with the boob camp. Hey, I don't understand why they'd hate it, but I guess they think they've got their reasons.
Another question I have: why didn't you try to get this friend of your's hooked on female feet?! I mean come on man...you've kinda' shown that attractions could get attained through enough effort and will-power, so why not show your friend what he's missing out on?
Or is turning a gay man straight going to be a sort of phase two of this experiment?

I actually thought about that! If you can self-create a fetish, I wonder if you can change your sexuality through the same methods. That'd be interesting, but I'm not sure he wants to swing his door the right way. I have a feeling that when guys go gay, they don't go back. I don't know, I don't want to ask, because I don't want to find out. I'm happy with my female feet, and I think he's happy with whatever he likes in that department. Oh well! The point is, it's pretty cool that someone can do that to themselves, and proves that it can accidently happen to people.

I'm not sure about turning a gay guy straight. I've heard guys are more polarized in their sexuality compared to women - i.e. If you're straight, you're very straight and if you're gay, you're very gay and there isn't much of a middle ground for being bi-sexual, although bi-sexual males do exist.
At any rate, I guess this technique could come in handy for the definite hard core foot fetishists who don't get much of a turn on from women's breasts, ass or pussy. It might be worth it to pick up one or two more things to get turned on by so you're not obsessing over women's feet all the time.

I never thought I would be in this type of living situation but I am...I am living with my girlfriend and 3 gay guys...yes thats right 3! I know its a scary thing for a straight guy to go through..for the first little while but its really not all that bad...its fuckin gold when two of them start a fight or an arugment! i'm seeing Pavlov's experiment.. not a real fetish.. and too much free time. the sight of feet gets him thinking about what his hand does to him.
a true fetish.. it's not about the hand.. it's about the feet! that is my 2cents on it.
if your theory was real.... a gay guy could be tought to get aroused by women the same way and eventually with time.. want to be intimately involved with women.
Pavlov's theory applies to whatever item you want to attach to a stimulus for a response. so.. be it feet or women.. it should work. we already know you can't turn a gay fella....
so.. you just trained him to see feet and think of pleasing himself.. and the connection was made.. sight of feet means you'll be pleasing your self soon.. should the connection not be reinforced.. it will eventually be lost. ( you can un-train a dog and so can you un-train a person)

No. It's foot fetish developement. He said he's already contacted a guy into coming over and doing foot fetish stuff with him. He doesn't think of pleasing himself everytime he gets feet. But the stimuli has been made to now find feet as a sexual object, as well. Just like how therapists help fetishists get OFF of their fetishes, is by getting their stimuli to "normal" body parts, such as breasts. Though, if you ask me, I think feet are completely normal to like, though I may be biased. But, then again, what are breasts other than milk jugs for babies? Arg.
