no matter what i do i cannot seem to put an avatar on here. i have followed the instructions and it will not work. any tips????

Click on "My Profile" --> "Edit Profile" --> Scroll all the way down and there is a box called "Update Profile". You have to click on this after changing your avatar! Else the changes aren`t saved to the forum server.

did you click on select this avatar and then save changes after you put the url of the image you want to use?

I've had this problem too and i followed Hal and you's directions but it still won't save my avatar. I changed it, selected use this avatar and it showed up, then i scrolled down and hit update profile, but when i go to 'edit profile' again, its gone...whats up?

umm that weird..probably its because its a bigger image than the one predetermined..check the image size

Thanks for the input. I have resized it using photbucket and when i place the url in the designated spot, a little box shows up with an x where the avatar should be. Is photobucket not a good choice for this?
