Welcome to Week 10 of the National Femme Liaison. We have seven more weeks to go before the regular season is over. By then, we will see which twelve girls will make the playoffs.
This week will be very interesting because of the 14 matches, 8 of them will be rematches from earlier this season. It is like I said from the very begining that each girl will face the other three girls from her division twice.
----
I have a new picture for most of the girls who will participate this week. For the others, I'll will post last week's pictures because I liked them a lot. The links will be posted towards the bottom of this posting, just in case you run into a girl whose name you're not familiar with.
----
Here are the standings as we enter Week 10:
(Just so you know, the first number next to each name is the number of wins, the second is for losses, the third is the ties, the last is her winning percentage.)
American Female Class
Division I
Mandy Moore 7-1-0-.875 Jessica Alba 7-2-0-.777 Katherine Heigl 1-7-0-.125 Mayra Veronica 0-9-0-.000

Lauren Conrad did well last week, as she holds the record for the largest margin of defeat when she defeated Marisa Miller. The vote was almost swept all the way through. Not only that, she was the only girl in her division to win a game last week; the other three girls lost. That's a great way to gain some ground.
NFC's Division IV is by far the tightest division in the entire game. That's the only group in where each girl has won at least half of her games. Consider this: If Elisha Cuthbert were placed in Division II of the AFC, with the record she carries into this week, she would be in SECOND place instead of last. She would be one game behind Jennifer Love-Hewitt. It's weird how this game works.
----
Charlize Theron has finally caught up to Carmen Electra for the division lead. I thought it was impossible that Theron would ever do that, considering how Carmen Electra used to demolish her competition.
----
Of all division leaders, Jessica Simpson is the only one not talked about as much. She's flying under the radar here. She can sneak up on some other girl and mess up her chances of making the playoffs.

Glad to see Carmen is getting it done this week and very very curious to see the winner between my girl Kat and Hudgens. Great pics by the way national. They swayed me on a few I was undecided about Adriana Lima for example.

I agree with what National said earlier by saying that some upsets could be at hand. I decided to go against some girls who I usually vote for just for the sake of shaking up the standings a little bit. But the possibility of Beyonce beating Eva Longoria is exciting! Eva Longoria is over rated. I don't see how she's going to go undefeated this season.
I was so glad to see Carmen Electra lose again last week. But just as I was getting excited about her getting knocked out of first place, I see that Carmen is back to her old ways of crushing her opponents.
I don't think there's anyone in here who can say that Mandy Moore is even gorgeous. She's not hot. She's....adorable. The fact that she beat Jessica Alba when they last faced was really disgusting. It came as a complete shock. I can't WAIT until those two face each other again.
It's good that we have a bunch of nobodies competing this week, with the exception of Jessica Alba, of course. She's a somebody.
You're right, Natioal, about how Elisha Cuthbert could be in second place had she been in Division 2 of the AFC. As a matter of fact, Elsiha Cuthbert could EASILY win that division instead of Jennifer Hewitt. But Cuthbert go screwed. She's stuck in a division where all the other girls are winning as well. The only way she could make the playoffs is if she goes on a winning streak and Hudgens, McPhee AND Eva Mendes go on a losing streak, and that not going to happen with seven more weeks to go. She will not make the playoffs.
That sucks because she;s one of my favorites. National, what made you decide which girls go in which class and division?
By the way, Swman, I agree with what you said about the pictures. They took my focus off the voting for a few minutes.
These women have the most expensive feet in the WORLD.
I really like the way this game is turning out. It's extremely organized and professional-like.

What made me decide which girls went where was quite simple. I had each girl's name written on a piece of paper. I mixed it up and drew out the names in random order. The first name that came out (which was Alyssa Milano) went to the AFC. Then second name out of the shoebox went to the NFC. The third, to the AFC, etc.
As far as divisions went, I did the same thing. After I had the names of the AFC girls, I drew out their names. The first name went to Division I, the next to Divsion II, then III, then IV, then back to Divison I, etc. I did the same for the NFC.
Just a reminder of an important topic I brought up last week. If you're new to this game, I'll bring it up for you guys.
Tie Breakers
It is possible for these girls to finish the season with identical records. It becomes necessary, therefore, to devise means to break these ties, either to determine which girls will qualify for the playoffs, or to determine seeding in the playoff tournament.
The rules below are applied in order until the tie is broken. If at least two girls are tied for one playoff spot, the rules are applied only until the first girl qualifies. If multiple playoff spots are at stake, the rules are applied in order until the first girl qualifies, then the process is started again for the remaining girls.
1. Head-to-head (the girl with the best record in all games played between the girls who are tied)
2. Best winning percentage in matches against girls within the division. (This is for determining Division Champion; also, if there is a tie for a wild-card berth, this is used for breaking ties within a division.)
3. Best winning percentage in common matches (only applicable with a minimum of 4 common opponents)
4. Best winning percentage in matches played within the class.
5. Strength of victory (the overall winning percentages of opponents who were beaten)
6. Strength of schedule (the overall winning percentages of all opponents played)
7. The girl who received more votes against opponents in her class.
8. The same as Step 7. Only this time, it includes girls who she faced from the opposite class.
9. The girl who received more votes in common matches (only applicable with a minimum of 4 common opponents)
10. Drawing cards at random (if the tie-breaking method goes THIS far, then you have to take my word for this one. From a regular set of playing cards, I will draw a card for each girl in question. The girl who I draw the higher card for, will win the tiebreaker.)

Just a reminder that the poll is still open to voice an opinion.
I hate it when my votes put some of these matches in a tie.
I want to know what Erica Durance is doing with a terrible record, but now all of a sudden is having a breakthrough moment? Anyway, I think when a girl with a record as bad as Durance gets her first win late in the year, it gives this game a feel-good moment!
Maybe that will shake things up a bit. It's strange that I say this because I never voted for her.
Those not familiar with Erica Durance, she is mostly known for playing Lois Lane in the show Smallville.
I just laugh when I see Halle Berry's recod. The girls in this contest are too hot for Halle to handle.
You are as good as your record indicates. And for Halle, that's certainly the case!

Ladies and Gentleman, Week 10 has come to an end. Thanks for the huge support! Apparently, there was an extra person who voted to break some of these ties to not make things so confusing. I don't mind the ties because the National Femme Liaison has methods of breaking the ties when it sees fit. But no ties is always better because definite winners are crowned.
----
Onto another topic:
What a breakthrough moment for Erica Durance! She has FINALLY won a game. It's interesting, now that we are getting late into the season, to see some of the girls who are not as popular in this game derail other girls hope of reaching the playoffs. What Erica has done was create a brand new hype into this game. She is now playong the role of the spoiler. Alessandra Ambrosio is further behind Shakira for the division lead. I wonder what got into the people this week to suddenly vote for Durance? Let's see if other like Durance can follow suit.
First Vida, now Erica. Who's next?
I think Ambrosio's chance of making the postseason is now destroyed. She wasn't going to catch Shakira in the first place, it seems. Ambrosio now has to focus on the WildCard if you want her in the playoffs.

The fans have spoken...
Divsion III of the AFC belongs to Carmen Electra. She defeated Charlize Theron twice. But let see how long that lasts because Carmen Electra's opponent next week won't make things easy for her. That's all I can say for now.
Carmen Electra is SMOKIN HOT. I had someone tell me that she's a slut. So what, I said. Isn't that what makes her attractive? Doesn't this explains why she's in first place? She's more freaky than most other women.
Like I said earlier: I wasn't a big fan of hers when this contest began, but now, I've become attached to her.
----
It looks as if MTV's "Hills" star Lauren Conrad can't get past Aguilera in pursuit of a playoff appearance. I though that of all rematches this week, Conrad would be the only one to get back at her opponent. Aguilera beat her on Week 1, and now again on Week 10.
----
This has grown to become the most organized game to settle the debate as to which of today's hottest celebrities has the hottest feet that's worth worshiping more than any other in the world.
When this game returns next year, a mixture of the women this year will compete against other A-List celebirties, more "it" girls, and not to mention HOTTER women for you to decide if the women this year are riding on a fluke.
----
I'll return on Wednesday for Week 11 (of 17) of the National Femme Liaison.
Let me tell you: Some of the matches next week are potential playoff previews. I might make some of them Classics of the Week. I don't know yet, we'll see.
When I return Wednesday, I'll update the standings.
