You and your wife/girlfriend are eating at a restaurant. At some point, she takes her shoe off and rubs your leg with her foot. Or if she's really bold, she will rest her foot in your lap. Perhaps she's inviting you to have sex with her, or maybe she's just doing it to make you hot and bothered! This was done well before most people knew about foot fetish. To me, it suggests that women have long known about the power their feet have to seduce men. What do all of you think?

i think its a subtle flirtatious thing. its a step beyond her resting her hand on your hand or arm but her foot touching you becomes a little more sexy i think to the non-foot fetish public cause it's out of view and sneaky. i think putting all this emphasis on everything being foot oriented is a little biased.

Very true.
However, having a foot fetish makes the whole ordeal all the more sexy.
The wife does this a lot, and the novelty has never worn off.

before the whole foot-centric aspect of connections existed, yes.. footsies did exist. touch has always been a way to communicate. depending on where and what settings you were in, hand or feet could have been used to let the partner know how they felt.
i think what made footsies more 'accessible' for seduction purposes was the advent of the pump. the shoe could now be easily removed and replaced.. opening the door for footsies as a means of communication discretely. that also came around in part with women's increasing power and autonomy (loosely put.... not literally).
have women from 'way back' known about how feet work, i say yes. seen enough history channel to think so. sure, not a major authority......
i think the real 'power' comes now.. that more women know that there are guys who get weak in the knees by feet. that is where the real growth of power comes. back in the day, it was more subtle and more individual and less 'cultural'.

I had an asian gf with sexy slender feet and long toes. I told her about my fetish. Altho. when shen she used to brush up against me with her foot she would say sorry...never got into it I guess. ergo she is no longer with us. So knowing something means nothing unless you do something about it, yea?

thank you mikey. i discuss 'foot' issues all the time with my wife and it's good to have an unbiased perspective. she always laughs and tells me that the ideas and theories thrown around here are sooooooo biased and that feet are not something women think about on a regular basis at all. that open toes song by katherine mcphee? no, she isnt singing about toes cause she knows their power.. its just a fun song about shoes. a woman getting a pedicure? no, it's not because she knows how it will attract men.. it's that most women like to look good and it's not much different than make-up for her feet. etc, etc, ad naseum.

nusuth, agreed.. women don't think about feet like we do at all. but one thing is for sure, women do get competitive amongst themselves and will be more aware of what they look like in those competitive moments.
granted, it's not a subject that is on their minds much at all, but when it is, it's rarely about a guy.. and when it is about a guy, it' because they're with that guy or trying to get with that guy and using feet as a means to get to him if they realize he's sensitive/weakened by feet!
like you said, it's like makeup.. trust me, when a gal is going on a date, she will make sure her makeup is on point, just like her manicure and pedicure.. why? to increase her impressionability. and if she likes the guy and thinks he's really cool and finds out he has a thing for feet (and she's not turned off by it)she'll play it up... to enhance her impressionabilty.
outside of that.. feet is more a topic we Wu's guys fall over and trip over all the time.
RPM
p.s. bet your wife may agree with part of this lol

because most FF guys seem to think the world revolves around feet for them AND every one else. any reference to feet is a nod towards us and you, me or anyone else debunking that theory makes them feel marginalized and less accepted.
