America has been fascinated by celebrities since the golden age of the silver screen. Starlets such as Greta Garbo and Jean Harlow became our form of royalty in the 1930s. A celebrity sighting, whether in a magazine or on some city street, inspired awe and wonderment. Celebrities were mysterious and untouchable. They were covered in pixie dust. What you didn't know about them was as interesting as what you did know.
In recent years, however, the notion of celebrity has changed. Today we are celebrity saturated. There are celebrities for celebrity's sake, who can't sing or act. You cannot open your eyes without seeing these fashionistas on billboards, the internet and on Larry King. Their personal lives make prime-time news. Their sex tapes on the internet are as quotidian as Dow Jones charts. But one thing hasn't changed: They remain the avatars of favorable appeal, and sexual icons of their age.
They command power, money and our attention because they are our first and foremost fantasies in the flesh.
You are to be introduced to the hottest celebrities in its fashion-associated and most storied of Red Carpet events:

These ladies welcome you back with open arms and love as we begin Week 4 of the celebrity contest that will put the finishing touches as to who possesses the blueprint of how the Sexiest Feet look like.
I said from the beginning that each girl will have a week off during the competition. Starting this week, that rule will take into place. Over the first three weeks, we have been formally introduced to the ladies, and formed a little connection with them. Now, some of them will rest for the week to see how the rest of the field plays out.

Elisha Cuthbert -- Another Girl Next Door. Elisha played the lead in a movie with that title in 2004. She now plays Jack Bauer's daughter on 24, but she can crash at my place anytime.
Scarlett Johansson -- It's not Maybeline ... she's just born with it.
Jessica Simpson -- She's a blond to make a bishop kick a hole in a stained-glass window. She's hell on Pro Bowl quarterbacks, too.
Christina Auilera -- In November RCA released a retrospective of Christina's work, called Keeps Gettin' Better. Doesn't she, though?
Megan Fox -- She has tattoos, pouty lips and a bad-girl attitude who's waiting for a man to put a tight leash on her. Any volunteers?
Brooke Burke -- After having four kids she went on Dancing With the Stars and continues to look so stunning.
Jessica Alba -- People sat through The Love Guru just for her. Not that they were complaining.
Kim Kardashian -- She is so hot, it's going to take more than a glass of water to cool you down.
Carmen Electra -- An Electra complex is the female Oedipus complex: She wants to have sex with Daddy, kill Mommy. That's heavy. We'll just stick to daydreaming about Carmen.

You never cease to amaze me with how well put together your comments are. That was an amazing opening post for this week's competition, National. It takes people back to those times and helps them appreciate how their lives took an influence on the people then, and how their legacies live on to future generations. That introduction shows you are really into this the franchise foot celebrity competition.
Let's hope Bilson does better against this week. I love those AFC versus NFC matches. It gives a rare chance for a girl to travel to the other side and see how she can handle those girls. But Vanessa Hudgens is a hot competitor, so let's see.
Those small descriptions of those girls are very catchy and funny. I volunteer to set Megan strait.

The economy is so bad, airlines are now charging passengers $15 for each bag under their eyes. Now, THAT's bad.
Anyway, it's interesting to see who has the week off. National almost took out the entire contest with the list of women who are taking time off.
Though Bilson is not my pick to win, I do like her a lot. I also know that this is an important match for her. It's still early in the season, but this match can make or break her. It's that simple. This is a true test to see if she can hang with the best.
The other three girls in her division are Alba, Panettiere, and Mandy Moore. Both Alba and Hayden have the week off. That leaves only Mandy Moore and she has a match against Eva Mendes. Rachel Bilson has a much better shot at beating Vanessa Hudgens than Mandy does Eva. With Alba and Hayden having their backs turned, this is Rachel's first and, perhaps, BEST opportunity to make things happen in that division. If she pulls off this win, that will put her just a win behind Alba for the division lead with 13 weeks to remaining.
If she loses, then Alba can win a match on a week Bilson has off, thus putting herself further ahead of Rachel.
It's a good thing Carmen's off for every girl's sake. But I cannot wait until she and Kardashian FINALLY get it on. Carmen has yet to lose and is the champion looking to successfully defend it, while Kardashian is just as hot and also undefeated. They're in the same division which makes it even hotter.

Last week, I explained how the playoff tournament will be set up and how a girl qualifies for making the playoffs. Now, I will give you the tie-breaking procedure that will be used to determine who will make the cut.

It is possible for these girls to finish the season with identical records. It becomes necessary, therefore, to devise means to break these ties, either to determine which girls will qualify for the playoffs, or to determine how these girls will rank in the playoff tournament.
DIVISION TIE-BREAKER
If, at the end of the regular season, two or more girls in the same division finish tied for first place with the identical winning percentage, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.
Two Girls
1. Head-to-head. 2. Best record against girls within the division. 3. Best record in common matches. 4. Best record against girls within the class. 5. Strength of victory. 6. Strength of schedule. 7. Most total votes received against girls within the class. 8. Most total votes received against girls from the opposite class. 9. Most total votes received in common matches. 10. Drawing cards.
Three or four girls: Tie breaker reverts to Step 1 if two girls remain tied during any step.

WILD CARD TIE-BREAKER
If it is necessary to break ties to determine the two Wild-Cards from any class, the following steps will be taken.
1. If the girls who are tied are from the same division, apply division tie breaker. 2. If the girls who are tied are from different divisions, apply the following steps.
Two Girls
1. Head-to-head (If applicable). 2. Best record against girls within the class. 3. Best record in common matches (Only applicable with a minimum of four common opponents). 4. Strength of victory. 5. Strength of schedule. 6. Most total votes received against girls within the class. 7. Most total votes received against girls from the opposite class. 8. Drawing cards.
Three or more girls (Apply the following steps below. If two girls remain tied during any step, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of applicable two-girl format.)
1. Head-to-head sweep. (Applied only if one girl has defeated each of the others OR if one girl has lost to each of the others)
2. Best record against girls within the class. 3. Best record in common matches (Only applicable with a minimum of four common opponents). 4. Strength of victory. 5. Strength of schedule. 6. Highest ranked girl in the entire league in terms of total votes received. 7. Most total votes received agaisnt girls within the class. 8. Drawing cards.

OTHER TIE-BREAKING PROCEDURES
1. To determine ranking in the playoff tournament among division titlists, apply Wild-Card tie breaker.
2. When one girl wins a tie-breaker in the case where multiple playoff spots are at stake among division titlists, tie-breaker reverts to step 1 of the applicable two- or three-girl format.
3. ln comparing division and class records or records against common opponents, the best winning percentage is the deciding factor since these girls may have participated in an unequal number of matches.

Transformers " hottie Megan Fox is taking her career to Western and underwater frontiers.
Fox is in final negotiations to join Josh Brolin and John Malkovich in "Jonah Hex," Warner Bros.' action Western based on the DC Comics character . She also is attached to star in and develop "Fathom," Fox Atomic 's comic book-based underwater adventure .
In "Hex," Fox will play Leila, a gun-wielding beauty and love interest of Hex (Brolin), a scarred bounty hunter tracking a voodoo practitioner (Malkovich) who wants to raise an army of undead to liberate the South. The movie is preparing for a shoot in April, with Jimmy Hayward directing.
"Fathom," a comic created by recently deceased artist Michael Turner , follows a young woman named Aspen who learns she is a member of a race of aquatic humanoids who possess the ability to control water. Fox, a fan of the comic since its 1998 debut, will receive a producer credit, as will her former fiance Brian Austin Green .
Fox's feature debut in 2007's "Transformers" made her an overnight sensation in Hollywood , and her appearance on the cover of GQ late last year turned her into a sex symbol, setting records for the magazine's sales and its Web site.
She next appears in this summer's " Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," and stars in the Diablo Cody -penned comedic supernatural thriller movie "Jennifer's Body," which opens in the fall. She recently appeared in the comedy " How to Lose Friends and Alienate People ."

National, thank you for bring Duffy down to earth. lol. sure, megan is hot, but to what extent is absolutely your opinion. i, for one, would walk by her in a heartbeat to kneel before katherine mcphee... but thats my preference. i am enamored of the girl next door look which i think katherine embodies.
