I work a job that doesn't pay much and has no benefits. I live near an expensive college so most the businesses near me only employ students of that college. It's hard to find an actual job in my area.
A few months ago, I started giving my girlfriend manicures and pedicures. I've grown to enjoy doing them too. I know how expensive it is to get your nails professionally done so I'm thinking about letting people near me know of my services and try to make some money. My girlfriend is very skeptical of this as I have a foot fetish and would be touching other womens feet. Is my idea a bad one and how do I go about proving to her that I'm not doing this for the feet, only the money?
Any input and opinions would be nice.

It's a bad idea... There's plenty of other ways to make doe. In reality, pedicures are not that expensive and a women would choose to pay a professional who went to school for it and go to a spa/shop rather than a guy touch and do work on her feet just because he has a little experience with his girlfriend. Sorry Dude, don't mean to shoot your idea down but you have to look at it from other people's angle instead of yours

That's why I'm asking for opinions on here. I have a few friends that are willing to spread the word so I'll have a few clients. Where I live, it's about 50 bucks for a mani and pedi.

At best...you'll have to invest money to make money. The pedicure is about the appearance of the nails...but it's mainly about the feeling. You can't half ass it. You'll need a comfortable/relaxing setting. A foot spa. Skills. Value. And word of mouth. If you could turn your living room into a spa you could possibly pull it off. Gel manicures are notoriously expensive...do them well and you can provide value:http://www.sephora.com/gelshine-tm-at-home-gel-colour-system-P374809?om_mmc=Googlepla&_requestid=42976&cm_mmc=us_search-_-GG-_-pla-_-{keyword}&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=1434554
Do them for free for your girlfriends friends. Do anybody...and I mean anybody. Grandmothers, fathers, sons, little kids...whatever. And get them to refer others. Charge them. Slowly you'll be able to recoup your cost. If you have a nice pad....like a pool or jacuzzi, do them while they chill in there. Think different. Out of the box. Provide drinks. Provide an EXPERIENCE.
Don't do it as a means to fullfill your fetish. It will show.

I have no intentions on this being a fetish related thing. I'm looking at the money in it. I've done some research on gel nails and am seriously considering it.
