It just seems like it could be a matter of time now (perhaps no later than ten years) where some movie or something is going to immediately place foot fetishism right on the mainstream map. Perhaps this movie will center around a foot fetish in a positive light. Some major-source thing like a movie wouldn't make it immediately acceptable, but would make people ask on a more open level their thoughts on whether or not they like feet. There will be the 'yea' people and the 'nay' people. It seems plausible that the 'nay's' can become 'yea's,' but the vice versa does not apply. Basically, what I am saying is a movie like this would us could do a lot for making the "foot fetish" [with or without the title] acceptable. Now, this will challenge some folks' beliefs, but I believe a foot movie [mainstream movie with foot fetish as the revolving main theme] can truly change others' beliefs.

Sorry for the double post, just had another thought...
I'm pretty sure it will happen, because think of films in the 50's, the word 'Breast' would seem absolutely outrageous, now you see bare women in nearly all movies, and people don't think twice about it, so I geuss it is just waiting on the person to make this movie?
Anyone with directing skills? I'm up for auditions!

Considering the fact that a lot of people are followers, I believe in order for it to become mainstream and accepted at the same time is for someone with a great deal of clout to put it in a positive light. Not just in a movie but in real life that way people get a realistic impression from the individual. You see celebrities setting trends everyday, if one of the more widely respected celebrities were to put a positive spin on it I honestly think people's opinions about it would literally change overnight. Not all obviously, but many of those who despise foot fetishism do so because thats what the consensus does and I think that's all it would take to win the majority vote.
But then again, how much exposure do we really want? For me I'd like it to be a little bit more accepted by the public but I don't want to shove it down people's throat and have it in most movies or sitcoms. I think we're moving at just the right speed.

Never happen. Even though there are a lot of us (several million I have heard), we still are a very small minority. I wish it would happen but I seriously doubt it.

Very well said!
While I admit that it would be nice to see a little more foot action in movies and things, I don't want to see it go so mainstream that it runs the risk of seeming mundane.
It might sound weird, but I like to compare all of this to video games. Back in the day, it was only the hardcore gaming nerds (like myself) that supported the industry, and as a result we saw a lot of quality because the products were fewer and farther between, so everything had to count. Now, since everybody and their cousin plays video games, a great bulk of the products have gotten so dumbed down and simplified for mass consumption, the edge to the hobby that seemed so prevailent back then seems to have vanished to a great degree.
Right now, even though our numbers are probably tens of millions worldwide, we're still "the few and the proud". That to me is a pretty good thing.

Hehe, that film just might be heading our way sooner than you thought. One word "Grindhouse", one name Tarrenteno!
Although the film doesnt centre around the feet world, there some scenes, including an intimate one with two ladies. I think this is part of Quintins plan

You are hitting on all cylinders with this comment. May be a Clooney or Pitt can make it fly, who knows, but it would be nice to have a little more positive acceptance like T/A. Regardless, I like what I like.

one lady was quite open minded about it while another lady was not. the doctor kinda took the middle ground. i guess that's enough sides of the equation to let the general public decide on a mainstream view of us, LOL

Can be quite the philisophical debate as to who or what or how much exposure to something currently "unpopular" or misunderstood it takes to start to change society. (We do it here fairly often- and it's not a bad thing). I certainly don't have any magical answers, but truly believe it's headed in the right direction. Even on the subliminal level, with all the barefoot girls in ads and movies, things have got to happening in people's minds.

this is how I see it.it is mainstream,as a matter of fact it is the most mainstream fetish of em all.when was the last time u saw a watersport or armpit fetishist in any light ina movie or tv?.almost all major adult video companies have a series or a coupoe foot movies under their belt(even tho they mostly suck),and shit we have quenten tarentino being open and having talkshow segments based around his fetish.you can't get anymore mainstream then that.I think having a movie with a footguy would seem corny, and nomatter how they did it,it would make us be the bump of the joke.think of meet the fuckers, when harry met sally, romeo n juliet, how could it work?shit even I would laugh @ it.now during an erotic scene in a movie if a guy was to suck the toes,or kiss feet.....shit they already have movies with that in it. so if you look @ it,foot fetishism is already as commercial as any fetish could get....now if the majority of guys had a foot fetish it would be different, but that's not the case so I can't see it getting too much more comercial
