Ok, below is a link to snopes and to the poor lady's page. The flip flops she got at walmart messed up her feet. There are pics on her page but nothing good. I am posting this so you guys can protect your ladies.....

I almost bought those this summer. Thank goodness they didn't have my size! That is really scary. I can't imagine how I would feel if that happened to my feet. (

Although this is a very terrible thing what happened to these people, I can't help but notice that there really was no loss to the foot fetish community. Seems like all the feet that were affected were nasty to begin with. Oh, and how much money do you really save buying flip flops at walmart? Old Navy has flips for like 5 bucks for 2 pair, and they are awesome at retaining smell and everything. Beware the Chinese, I don't think that they have any adult supervision over there, and the kids seem to have the chemistry set.

I get my wife some Walgreens flip flops for like 1.99 and they are fine. I agree that the foot fetish community has nicer feet online, but the ladies sure did suffer. Poor things.

It's never good when something like this happens, but it does appear to be a rather rare and unusual allergic reaction. Though I'll be the first to admit that things form China are highly suspect nowadays, without emperical scientific eveidence you can't totally blame the flip-flops. It could be that something in the flip-flops reacted with her something in her shower soap or foot lotion.
On the positive side of cheap flip-flops: look at all the girls who are wearing them!

I'm sure they are. Just about every article of clothing you own is made in either China or in a Latin American sweat shop. Don't believe me? Check the tags on everything you are wearing at this moment from your shirt to your underwear and sneakers.
