i am a huge fan of MMA (and especially gina carano) and last nite i was watching the new tapout and they had on julie kedzie. she was totally sexy and although the show can be hit or miss thanks to the total tools who are the hosts, i just had to keep watching it cause of her. the best part was when she decided to relax before her fight and went out to get a pedicure. uh huh.. you heard right. they spent a good 5 mins doing that and i think that they showed some good shots of her feet.. i say think cause my wife just came home from work and as much as she is cool with me checking out other women's feet, she wouldnt be cool if i ignored her to do that when she just got home. so did anyone else catch it or know if that part is hosted somewhere?

Honestly, I've never seen too many butch female MMA fighters. Plenty of butch female boxers though. Ann Wolfe, for instance, scares the crap out of me. They call her the female Tyson for a reason. Reasons like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1h-hmcnlmrQ

I can't get into this whole MMA fad (I remember when it was called Ultimate Fighting). Just doesn't do it for me. I'll take boxing any day though...I suppose I'm way off topic here though.

ok, one.. fad? fad? lmao. its the future buddy. get used to it. MMA is a three dimensional sport. boxing is 2D. a great boxer is just that, a great MMA fighter is real athlete. he has to know how to fight in many different ways. he has to be able to strike effectively.. standing, on his back or from a dominant position. he has to know how to grapple. he has to know submissions and how to defend against them. comparing boxing to MMA to me is like comparing a homerun derby to a full baseball game or a foul shot contest to a full basketball game. the best MMA fighter are the most rounded physically and mentally. the depth of strategy a good MMA fight will need to employ is very deep.
two, MMA (mixed martial arts) was never called ultimate fighting. ultimate fighting is a league for MMA just like MLB is a league for baseball. MMA is a sport where UFC (ultimate fighting championship) is only one league. there's also WEC, EliteXC, Affliction, M-1, and others i'm sure.

but back to the original topic.. julie's feet.. anyone else see them?!?! lol

I hate to turn this into a boxing vs. MMA flame war since this is originally a foot thread but I hear this same argument all the time from MMA fans and I usually bite my tongue. I don't think anyone debates the complexity of MMA and the obvious momentum it's picked up in recent years, not to mention the conversion of hardcore boxing fans turned MMA junkies.

But my whole train of thought regarding sanctioned fighting is rooted in the old school principles in that, first and foremost, if you don't have stand up game then you simply can't fight. While MMA fighters are versed in many facets of fighting, I see many fall short of basic boxing principles. Yet they can grapple all night long, which is great but very few fights start on the ground.

Second of all, one of the things that just makes my blood boil when watching a fight is seeing a man get hit when he's down, knocked out or to hit someone in the back of the head (which is forbidden but happens all too often in the heat of the moment). I see a lot of MMA fights where a guy has been knocked out stone-cold but his opponent continues to thrash him as his lifeless body is exposed to what could be irreversible damage and the ref sits there like a bump on a log. I guess it goes back to old and now apparently outdated values of fighting, whatever happened to "Never hit/kick a man when he's down"? If you're truly a skilled fighter you shouldn't have to wait until a man is in a position to where he can't defend himself to finish him off, a good fight to me is finished off when a man is at his prime.

But yeah, back to the feet........

would love to see the tall blonde vonda ward kick a slave male right in the face with her big feet.

i would volunteer to take it myself right in the face if i knew it would not do any damage, but my god her big feet could kill with the properly landed kick right into a male's helpless face WOW [Big Grin]

i would love to lick and sniff her feet too after a kick like that. especially with julie kedzie or gina carano even [Drool]

You sure about that Tyler? Vonda Ward is fairly brutal-looking. Not as brutal as ol' Ann Wolfe (AKA, the Baddest Woman on the Planet), but pretty brutal.

With that said, I'd willingly fall into Gina Carano's triangle choke.

Or even an knee bar. It would hurt like hell, but her feet would be right in your face.

of course many fall short in the stand up areas as do many others have that as their strength and their ground game isnt suspect. look at chuck lidell. i dont think i have ever seen him do anything on the ground and yet he was a champion, but then there are other like GSP whom, although i dont like him personally, seems to be the epitome of a Mixed Martial Artist. he guy is deadly no matter where he is. same for anderson silva. MMA is kinda like rock paper scissors. there are strengths and weakness to each discipline.

addressing your comments about the damaged inflicted, i do have a few things to say. one, i dont know what fights you watch, but i have seen refs knocks fights down getting them out of the way and stopping fights. sure, i have seen guys look like they were out and receiving brutal hits, but i have also seen guys who i thought were out come back and fight back and defend themselves. its a fine line between ending a fight and letting it go on. two, for all your concern, look at the injuries and severity of those injuries as stacked up against boxing. how many deaths have occurred in boxing in the past 5 years vs MMA. its too early to tell, but i am willing to bet that if you see retired MMA fighters in their 50's and compare them their boxing counterparts, who are the ones looking their brains have been turned to scrambled eggs. their have been theories that an MMA fight gets knocked out easier and quicker than boxers so the actually receive less punishment. its one quick injury vs many many brain rattling hits over much longer battles.

so.. anyone seen or got that clip yet??? lol
