BACKGROUND: There is this really attractive girl in my class. We talk from time to time, but it's not anything deep; we're just classmates. Plus, I have no idea if she's involved with anyone; in addition, she's also a mother. So I doubt that I'll take that extra step and attempt to create a relationship with her. However, if SHE were to ask ME out, then I'd go with it; I don't see that as likely, though.
Anyway... As the warm weather started to come, she started to wear more revealing shoes, going from ballet flats (which I love) to strappy sandals. Of course this served as some nice eyecandy for me, especially when she was playing with her flats with her bare feet.
Well, today, she came in wearing what I can describe as flat thong sandals with ankle straps/buckles. Like these, except white.
Considering that I adore those type of sandals, you can believe that I was pleased at how nice her feet looked adorned in them.
Another girl in my class (a more... well "larger" girl) wore flip-flops to school today, and she has before, but today it all kinda blew up. Near the end of class, she walked out of the room, and with each step she took was that slapping sound of the shoe hitting her heel. I never really thought about it before, but flip-flops really can be annoying--as much as I love how they look.
So, after she left, my teacher called the front office and practically ratted her out. When the girl returned, both she and the teacher left. The teacher returned, and called the first girl out of the classroom. I didn't hear when it happened, but she was sorta ranting about it after class; apparently the second girl told on her (probably something along the lines of "I'm not the only one wearing these kind of shoes today!" "Who else?" "<insert name here>"). So, the first girl came back, now having changed her shoes to ballet flats. Disappointing; worse, it was almost time to go, anyway, so it shouldn't have mattered by then.
As wonderful-looking as those flat sandals were, I probably won't be seeing them anymore, at least not in class. Then again, with my A+ Certification test coming up, and with us in Review Mode, I don't think I need any more distractions in class. So the second girl might have unknowingly did me a favor.

What school are you going to where teachers rat out students for their shoes? Last time I remember stuff like that was high school, if even then.

It's a tech school. It has a bit of a dress code, though; we have to dress "professional".
I can see where they are coming from with the flip-flops, but the ankle-strap sandals I thought would have been okay.
