Has anyone ever noticed how it's usually only foot or other fetishists, or medical people, who ever use the expression "Soles", to describe, say, the bottoms of a woman's feet? When I've spoken to girls who aren't into the fetish, they will say things like: "My boyfriend likes to kiss the bottoms of my feet" or: "I'm ticklish on the bottoms of my feet". Hardly anyone says "Soles".

I've heard it used. Recently, in fact, in English class, one of the lines in a T.S Eliot poem was something like "Clutching the soles of yellow feet".
Then again from my contact with fetishists (on this board) I've never seen them say "foot bottoms" whereas I have with (probably) non-fetishists in real life.

I'm a very observant person but this is the first time it comes to my attention that people don't use that word!
I also notice that even in real life, I never use the word 'soles' or 'arches' or 'heels' etc, I just say 'feet' or 'toes'... As opposed to internet searches and foot fetish forums, where I use all these words n more!
This is what I would say to a girl: "Ya know I like yer toes girl! taste like candy!"
Can't imagine myself saying something like: "I like worshiping your soles, I'm your foot-slave!"

I live in Germany and here it is very common to say soles (German: "Sohlen"). But what I have noticed that every one of my models mistakes the heel of the foot and the ball of the foot (the part between the toes and the arch). It is pretty weird because the two words don`t sound alike and they are each on opposite ends of the foot.

Hrm, I wonder if there are other FF related words which could be used as code to test the waters in conversation in the outside world?
Madame, Foster a philandering fellow's fervor for fetish! I affirm the fulfillment of my felicity will follow from frenzied fornication involving your phalanges fondling my phallus. This will facilitate a ferocious fulmination of fluid. That is my fantasy, fear not fine maiden.

I hear ya...one day my friend told me she has plantar fasciitis and she needed daily foot exercises to keep them healthy. I nearly fell out of my chair.

Thanks for the replies guys, looks like we got a good discussion going on this topic.
Hal, that's interesting about it being common to say "soles" in Germany, because it really isn't in America. I also find it very interesting how you said your models get the heel and the ball of the foot confused. Maybe they just don't hear the words often, or don't pay much attention if they do.

I actually hate the word "plantar". Not only does it sound weird, but, I had a painful plantar's wart once that had to be removed by a podiatrist, and it was one of the only times I've heard the word used.
