Today I was at the mall doing some last minute shopping before heading out for a little amusement park trip tomorrow. I was there to buy some shoes and a pair of shorts with some extra pockets in them when I decided I was going to buy a friend a toering. The girl isn't a model on my site (yet), but since her birthday just passed, I thought it would be a funny/cute gesture.

Anyhow, after looking in a few stores I would have expected to sell toerings, I ended up at a small kiosk on the lower level. There was this tall, slender Asian girl with cute feet working there. I asked her if she sold toerings and I finally lucked out. She had a bunch of different designs and made from different medals.

While looking through them I saw a golden one with a turtle on it. I remember her having a bunch of turtle photos on her Facebook, so I thought she must like turtles. I bought it. Shortly after I texted her and said, "You like turtles, right?" She replied, "They're ok." I then asked her why all the turtle photos on her Facebook. She then explained they belonged to her ex boyfriend. I was like, "Shit!" and had to come up with a Plan B.

I had already walked away from the kiosk and was having a terrible time finding toerings already. I hit a couple other stores thinking I'll just buy a second one instead and give this turtle one to someone else that I know (Charlee) who actually likes turtles. Well, a few stores later, I was left with going back to the same kiosk again. I didn't want to, but I did.

I walked back up and I saw the look on her eyes that she was surprised that I was back. I wasn't going to try to swap them or anything, I just told her that I wanted to see if she had another one because I think the girl I bought it for has a turtle one already. She barely spoke much English, or she just wasn't chatty. But I was sitting there wondering if she thought, "This guy probably has a foot fetish." Not that I would have cared either way.

I ended up getting one with small footprints on it. I figured that will remind her of me and that I want her to model.

It's funny that small experiences like this just make for some personal entertainment, even if the other party/parties are unaware. Heck, maybe I should have asked her why she wasn't wearing one or comment on her cute shoes. I have a weakness for Asian girls anyhow. Ya never know. Oh well. Maybe I'll go back and buy another one again soon.

I thought sure the kiosk girl was going to end up modeling some toe rings....but neat story.
Though you're in a much more metro area than i am your experience tended to mirror mine as if late. It seems like toe rings, at least inexpensive ones, are harder to find than they used to be. Even walmart used to have a huge display here during the summer right off the main aisle. Now there's a smaller display back behind jewelry. And there's still plenty of girls wearing toe rings so I don't think it's a matter of demand.
