i just sat down with the family last night and my wife was finishing up watching an episode of MTV's Parental Guidance. for anyone who doesn't know, it's a show about parents picking out new bf's or gf's for their son or daughter who is currently in a relationship with typically a rude loser. last night, there was a young black girl who's second date was with some guy who took her for a mannie/peddie. i thought was kind of odd but as they both getting their peddie, he said to her, you keep those feet pretty so when i see them in your sandals they are looking good for me. of course my wife and i snuck a look at each other and kind of smirked. after some flirting, he got her foot in his hand and kissed it. the original bf was watching remotely with the parents and had been putting him down the whole time and exclaimed, he's got a foot fetish! that's gross. the mother said something, i think it's nice.

of course the dopey girl ended up going back to the douchebag boyfriend and dismissed the 2 new guys.. but i loved watching that guy being so bold and open and not a creep at all.

I believe it's called Parental Control or did they change the name? I used to watch the show when nothing was on. I loved when the girl would wear shoes, but the guy would bring her on an activity involving her taking her shoes off. I definitely think the show is staged. They all went back to the douche boyfriend, then newer episodes they may have thought we need new stuff. One time an original boyfriend watching tore apart a guy's painting and the dad said, that has been in my family for generations and did nothing. Surely I would have thrown him out of the house immediately.

I remember a long time ago there was a show on MTV, I forget what it was called a girl would go out with 2 guys at the same time then there would be a timeout card. and then the girl would have one-on-one time with each guy. I remember one of the first few episodes the girl was in a hot tub and had one guy massage her right foot and the other massage the other foot. Don't remember the name of the show or that episode. Would love to see the video clip. From what I recall it was worth it!

I was thinking about that show when I first read this topic. The show you're talking about is called Dismissed. Like you said, each of the daters chooses a place to go, and the person running the date dismisses the person he/she likes the least. Each of the competing daters also has that time-out card you were talking about. When used, the card allowed the person twenty minutes alone with his/her date.

I've never caught that episode of Dismissed. As far as that particular episode of Parental Control, I've never caught that, either. Now that Jersey Shore is longer on, the only times I'll watch MTV is for the Video Music Awards and to watch another dating/relationship reality show called FriendZone. It's a show about people who have romantic feelings for one of their best friends. A guy with the crush, for example, would tell the girl that he's preparing for a blind date and asks her for assistance. But what she doesn't know is that the date is actually for her. He finally tells her the truth by the time they get to the restaurant and it's up to her to decide if she wants to be more than just friends with him. In other episodes, the roles are reversed in where the girl has the crush on the guy.

I've seen many episodes of this show, and it's funny how when the guys finally reveal their true feelings for the women, they rejects them left and right like clockwork and the guys then rarely, (or ever), talk to those ladies again (the show catches up with these people a month later to see how they're doing after the revelation). Throughout the episode, the guys would talk about how these ladies are so down to earth, they're not bitches, they have smiles that bright brighter than the sun, blah blah blah. When the ladies then turn them down, it goes from them talking about how these ladies are so radiant and how they light up the rooms when they walk in all the way to, "oh, she played me, she's not the same person who I thought she was, we don't talk to each other anymore ..." But wait a second, just a minute before you were talking about how they have the best personalities on earth and how they make girls like those anymore. Now they don't? But when it's the ladies turn to reveal their feelings to the guys, almost all of them accept. "Of COURSE I want to be more than just friends ..." The show catches up with those people a month later and they're living happily ever after.

I don't remember seeing anything foot related in that show.

being so overzealous and kissing her foot on the first date didn't take him too far

Hmmm. Ryan used pickup artist David DeAngelo's cocky funny on the date. This can work for the right type of girl. Also, you have to really act the part, not fake it. Heather saw through Ryan's act because women are experts at reading people, especially men. Normally, people are creatures of habit. Apparently, she wanted to try something different, so she chose Brett.

She said she is attracted to tall, handsome, romantic guys. Brett was that, but as some guys now...what women say they want, isn't what always attracts them. Having said that, I think she secretly wanted to see what Ryan could do for her. Notice how she let him get on top of her without telling him it was too much too soon. And she said, "I can't do this; its just not right". Notice she was laughing the entire time; his physicality got to her. She exhibited LMR (last minute resistance).

Believe me, if there were no cameras, dude would've at least ended up with a handjob. Some girls consider penetration without marriage as sin. But if there is no penetration, its all good.

Final note, Heather was a beauty with high arches!
