I love women with high arches. It's like sugar for my eyes. I've often pondered why some women have higher arches than others. For a while I assumed it was due to a woman's lifestyle. Dancers and gymnist ha the highest archesdue to thier training and thier sport. However I was mistaken. Apparently high arches while sexy to me is problematic for many who have them. Even more disturbing is the fact that while it can be hereditary, they are someties caused by:
"One of the most common causes of high arches is a loss of nerve function to the muscles of the foot. Other causes include:
• diabetes
• poliomyelitis, a disorder caused by a virus that affects the whole body including muscles and nerves. It may cause permanent muscle paralysis, disability, and deformity.
• a spinal tumor, a mass within or surrounding the spinal cord
• muscular dystrophy, a disorder characterized by progressive muscle weakness and loss of muscle tissue
• Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a progressive wasting of muscles in the arms and feet
• congenital abnormality, or birth defect
• muscle contractures following severe burns. A muscle contracture is a condition in which the muscle is tight and prevents normal mobility.
If the high arches are not treated, the joints of the foot can be damaged. Sometimes the foot can become misshapen or deformed"
So why would I find such a "deformity" attractive? Passing on high arches to my chldren has negative evolutionary value seeing as flat footed people are less likely to injure thier lower extremities.

My arches are very high, but I don't have any of those diseases (not that I would know). While my friend has quite flat feet and a lot of problems: pain in legs, feet, back, etc.

High arches = awesome

My girlfriend has high arches. In fact I can recall a pair of high heels that she has where her arches are't even in the shoe when she wears them! Now I don't know if that's just the shoes but what I do know is that it's hot lol.

hot as hell, and i think that high arches come from birth... just the same as long toes or broad nails, WAR HIGH ARCHES....( sorry ,for a second i thought i was on sherdog)
