I remember having to set my cousin straight about this. I told him once that I was working on a site with art and stories about barefoot girls, and he got all excited, and mentioned a print he'd done a while back (thinking I'd want to put his work on the site). Why is it that when you watch porn a lot of the women end up on their backs and are still wearing shoes???

If we lived in a world without shoes, womens feet would have way less of an appeal to me. Of course the shoes should come off eventually, but to have barefoot all the time takes away the mystery and smell from female feet.

This seems to reinforce what Mona said, that up to this point in time having a foot fetish connotated a love of shoes.
I peruse porn clips every so often and and seeing a beautiful girl totally naked except for shoes makes me positively pissed! Even more so since most of them are the thick-soled "hooker" shoes. Yeah some of them are see-through, but it's still nothing I want to see.
