So basically, how did you guys think you got your foot fetish? From whom? How and when? I've read some stuff on how foot fetish originates during childhood experiences. Now, I'm 100% sure I know where my foot fetish originated from and whom it came from. It's just that it's very embarrassing because that person is a family member and I have no sexual feelings for that family member (not my mother btw) (Trust me non at all!!!). It's just that since I was about 5 years old, I always touched played around with that person's feet for fun and the first time I realized that I have a foot fetish was when I was 10. And her feet were the first to kind of start the fetish inside of me. I just feel very embarrassed and ashamed of myself knowing where my foot fetish comes from. I have been reading some theories on how foot fetishes came to be. And one theory that I can conclude on myself is that basically, a foot fetish can develop when the child is basically traumatized or in a stressful environment and to escape that they may just have the pleasure of say, playing with their toys, eating, or playing with someone's feet. I can honestly recall myself being in a situation like this for example, my parents arguing fighting yelling, and me just playing around with that family member's feet. That person is even aware that I used to do that and we laugh about it to this day. Yeah and just to state again I have noo sexual feelings for her, it's as if I just see her feet different from her. So yeah, I've had this inside me for a while, just had to write about it.

It's perfectly natural. I don't remember most of my childhood, so I can't say if my scenario was very similar, but I do remember that I had a family member with a fancy house, and everyone who went inside had to take their shoes off. My family is mostly females, and I did spend a good deal of my youth here, so perhaps you're on to something. There's nothing to be ashamed of--it's not like as a teenager you snuck into her bedroom while she was sleeping and blew a hot wad on her soles; that would be something worthy of being embarrassed about, if not guilty. Then again, I don't put a lot of thought into where my fetishes come from-- I jsut accept them. As long as you're an adult now and know how to control yourself, the you're green. wow, very interesting experience. i wish i knew how and where exactly mine originated... but i can certainly say these few thoughts:
while it may have originated somewhere, it certainly was not so bad in it's inception state... but damn as i started seeing kinky and freaky stuff with the advent of the internet my foot fetish turned into a grand central station of perverted and kinky ideas.

It started with teachers and a few female relatives growing up from my elementary/jr. high days...I didn't know why I looked, but I thought, "Wow, her feet look pretty nice." Thats pretty much how it all started for me and I didn't feel ashame about it.

I can remember as a kid noticing the smell from my Mum & older sister's stockings. This is very early 70's. Didnt think about it much until fairly recently. But i dont think that is what turned me on. When i was about 18 i had my 1st, serious, full time girlfriend. All others before were just school flings and mucking around. Mph201, I had the same exact experience, sans the "stress" part. Like when my brother and I were really young, we slept in my folks bed, i the youngest slept at the foot (no pun intended), which was near my mothers feet. They just felt really good, and as I was a kid, she woudl gladly play along. I also began to smell them, which I loved. I think most people developed their foot fetish through experiences with a family member, although those experiences are typically non-sexual.
In my case I dont really remember much from my childhood but I do remember being intoxicated by my aunt's feet. The funny thing is so many family members tell me that when I was a kid I used to touch women family members feet when they would come round our house.
I do however remember being at school and I had a teacher who would remove her shoes (casually when sitting at the desk) my heart would literally stop for those few seconds to glimpse the feet. I think that is the gist of my feet fetish development.

I have not a clue where my fetish really came from. I just know that I started to realize that I had one in my early teens. Like you, at times I was both afraid (of whether I was normal) and ashamed. There was no moment of epiphany for me. I just always knew that I liked girls' feet. There were a couple of reinforcing influences (which I've discussed in previous, similar threads). Had nothing to do with family at all; well, OK, there were a couple of my female cousins whose feet were, lets say, inspiring. Once I was having erections that were generated by feet, I knew it was sexual. Never could find any shame in it and never worried about it being "normal". It was simply normal for me.
By all means, relax. You're OK; unusual, perhaps (aren't we all?), but you aren't as "out-there" as you may feel.

I've liked feet from the start. My parents told me that at 18 months I used to play with my Aunt's feet. As a kid, 5 - 8 I used to touch my mother's feet. Again not as a sexual exp but in a premature kind of way.

It was really weird.
When I reached puberty........ I could put all the pieces of the puzzle together.
