You guys, feet are everywhere. Toe cleavage is the new shoe thing for 2008, I saw an ad for a Kia that had some good foot shots, ad's in magazinez are clad with toes, and a friend of mine told me he couldn't beleive how many foot clips he found on youtube. Once the unknowin g women realize the power of feet, they'll be unstoppable! lol.

Its just a trend at the moment I'm guessing which will die down after a while. Just enjoy it while it lasts!

I too have also noticed how often female feet show up in advertisments in all sorts of visual media. Been a trend for a number of years now, not just recent. I have always been aware of ads and in the past only occasionally would you see female feet in ads. Many times they show female feet for no apparent reason like in jewelry ads.
I think advertising agents are onto the power of the image of pretty female feet. I see it way too often for it to be a coincidence. I'd LOVE to talk to an advertising firm to see what's going on with all the foot images. Posted by ozboy (Member # 518) on :
From my experience, girls with ugly feet hide their feet and girls with beautiful feet love to get them pedicured and are into open toe shoes.

It would be very interesting even to know if they're using this on a concious level (attention and/or sexuality) or subconsious (the "just being casual and comfortable aspect).
Seems obvious to me that it has to be a concious effort by someone during the ad production to instruct the model to go barefoot. Unless it's a beach scene, most female models aren't going to automatically remove their socks, hosiery and footwear for ALL ads.

It's definitely a conscious effort by those doing the ads. However, not to burst anyone's bubble, but I think the reason for having women photographed barefoot in ads is to give the feeling of them being comfortable. Other than the beach, there really aren't too many places to find women going barefoot. One place would be the home environment and, again, home traditionally equals comfort. I don't think it's a decision to show off a woman's feet in an ad to get all guys with a foot fetish horny.

I've mentioned this in several threads before; I think foot fetishes will be legitimately mainstream someday, but we're just going to drop the negatively connotative term 'fetish' from the picture altogether.

Yeah; The word fetish is the thing that gets people all bent out of shape. Take it out and we might have a chance at the big leagues; but there is something wickedly cool about being under the radar in the minor league.
