I work in a very high profile company...it is small but it is a who's who of local celebrities and politicians who come in the office. I am a receptionist for now, until they can find some marketing for me to do. Oh, and did I mention that I am also the bookkeeper, CEO's personal assistant and assistant to the Marketing department? Jack of all trades, I know.
Anyways, being the first person that someone sees in an office if a very important job. However, and those of you who are in my position will understand and I want to hear from you, there are times when it just gets too much...all the outright flirting that married men will do. For example, my fed ex guy. People around here call him Feddy Eddie. he is perverted, big time. He walks in and does those cheesy lines, like, "I see an angel." Gag, puke, barf and such. But today is the kicker. I got these hot new Steve Madden pumps...zebra print, peep-toe. Very sexy. As I was walking around my desk to check the name on the package, he exclaims, "Holy mother of God, how I want those feet!"
Seriously?? My feet? Now I understand some people have their "thing" but you don't shout it out at the office, especially if you are the Fed Ex guy! He then whispered "I would love to suck your toes sometime." and walked away. OMG, what in the hell just happened. GROSS!!
I am thinking that the worse of it was over when a local politician walked up to me and said, "That was uncalled for...do you want me to do something about it? I know the Police Chief personally". Slightly embarrassed, I told him that it is OK, I can handle myself.
I need a new job. or ugly feet.

it's one thing to politely flirt and make conversation... shameless or 'crude' flirting is another. and though many women smile at it, not as many appreciate it.

I too have a friend which has sort of a "breast fetish", if you will. He can say some of the most outlandish shit and totally get away with it. That is exactly it. As I said earlier, he comes off as very non-threatening. He gets them laughing in a few minutes and has them in stitches all night. That's part of his MO.

true.. but there is a thing for 'presentation'. i've got to work with two guys who make 'crude' comments and i tell ya.. the girls eat it up... love it.. and backs him up so he doesn't get in trouble.. the other.. is slick enough not to get in trouble.

BUT. I HAVE heard women complain how sleazy he is. But he gets an equal amount of women who respond in a positive way too. I highly doubt this guy has a real "foot fetish". As a whole we grow up not really revealing that part of ourselves to the public. I think he was just doing his cheesy flirting spiel. As for how she recieved him....it appears she's nit so much impressed by looks..but rather rank power and influence. The fed ex guy has none of those things, hence why she kept mentioning that he was a delivery guy. Did you guys notice that she kept throwing in ranks? i.e. local celebrity, police chief, local polotician? Had it been the weather man from channel 13 her reaction would have been different. She'd probobly start her blog off as "the funniest thing happened to me today!" and instead of saying " I need ugly feet" she's say "these pumps that I love so are now even more so my fav!" Honestly her reaction sounds like the slightly pretty valley girl that has just been asked out by the outcast nerd. "gross" "gag" I'm surprised she didn't go back to the movie clueless and say "as if". I would say it's all about delivery and your appearance. Try misbehaving with women while wearing a good suit.
