i would like to know how many of you footfetish guys think the days of women wearing pantyhose or stockings are coming to a end. are more, and more women going barefoot these days.
do you think pantyhose companies like HAYNES will stop making pantyhose 10yrs from now. i would like your input on this.

No nylons for me they're rare nowadays unless there's a business-related issue at mind.....do have to concur with footjoyboy that they will come back, and I'm banking on a comeback in the '10's

i'm hoping they don't go extinct! however, as time goes by, the demand for hose will drop more and more! businesses who require hose are being pressured not to require it.
unless a major trend change happens one of these coming falls...... the tide against hose is going to pickup steam.. much to my dismay!

as long as there is buisness ladys, there will be pantyhose and have you noticed that buisness ladys pantyhose are always sheer, good quality and really fucking sexy and you feel like you just wanna rip her high heels off and suck, kiss and do everytheng else to her feet! ok im getting a bit carried away here,lol! anyway here in the uk, i like pretty polly nylons,there always good. long live pantyhose and all nylon!!!anyone agree?

Good riddance, i hope they die out. women who wear nylons cant pull of the bare legs bare feet look, thats why they wear nylons. There should really be a law banning those things. Nylons should be rounded up by the masses and burned to cinders.

I would have to agree that trends do come and go. WHen i first discovered my fetish many many years ago i loved feet in nylons but in the last 2-3 years i love the barefoot look and almost never look at women's feet in nylons. But i still do enjoy any pretty feet that are not in shoes, just prefer the barefoot more.

I do not think the days of women wearing nylons or pantyhose is over at all. I think it depends on each woman, what they are comfortable in, feel sexy in, and what the occasion and attire call for. My lovely wife works in a professional environment, and some days wears nylons with her skirt, and some days goes bare legged in her skirt, with her sexy shoes a constant with each.
And I would like a moment for rebuttle in regards to nodes' comment. I know this is not the pic forum, but I offer two examples of My wife...

i do not think that nylons are coming to an end. like many have said here there will always be a demand for them in the business world. you can have a business suit on but it would just not look right without the finishing touch of hose.
i can not speak for other women but myself i love hose. not in the heat of summer but when i go out or am feeling particularly sexy. walking out in public with a skirt and thigh highs makes me feel like i have a sexy secret! the smooth silky feeling of a GOOD pair of stockings or hose makes me feel quite feminine.
I also agree that there is just something really sexy about watching a woman take of her stockings. it can be erotic and like opening a present when they are finally removed!
bottom line it IS a personal preference, but not one that i think will become extinct.

2swift, thanks for posting such an objective picture. proves my point. both are very sexy. and because your wife has such sexy legs, the advantage of hose doesn't show up as well. she is hot.. her legs are hot... and she wears the hose super well!!!!
now, the advantage of hose is that it smoothens lines, makes the legs look longer.. of course let's not forget the scent effect. and silky hose can feel much nicer to the touch than bare legs (depending on the woman)
i'm not going to take absolute strong lines either way. as 2swift's example points, a woman with great gams can go either way perfectly fine! others don't have such luxury and can benefit from hose a bit more.
what i can say is this, for the bareleg and barefoot fans, there is far more hope than you'd imagine. why? many girls are growing up in an era where examples of barelegs is the majority. from hollywood to neighborhood. no hose seems to be the rule.
so... as these gals become women, they will continue what they learned. and less and less gals will be hose oriented. but as pointed out here, some will discover hose via work and will get hooked. so hose will not go extinct anytime soon, but will fade in popularity.
but as i've pointed out in another thread, some cultures are built on the belief a woman has to wear hose (i'm exaggerating a bit though).. and as more cultures mix, hose will continue to exist.. but your barefoot lover will have to look less hard to find what they like, because it will be the mainstay of fashion.
us hose fan thank the folks who kindly post pics of hosed legs and feet! makes it nice for us to see what we like online instead of holding our breath around town hoping to see one or two with hose on!

i agree, it's harder to find suppliers of good quality tights and stockings. i used to go to three department stores which had a great selection. 2 of them have stopped selling them at all and the other store has dramatically reduced its selection in the last couple of years. i don't wear them as often as i like but that is lifestyle related and temporary for me. i do feel so much sexier when i am wearing sexy things.

RPM, thank you as well for the compliments regarding the pics I posted as examples. They were actually taken at different times, with the nylon hose pic taken just a week ago before she went to work. She looked amazing, and just had to capture it. The pic of her sexy bare legs was taken a month ago I believe, but not too long ago. I thought both images side by side illustrated My point the best. Happy you enjoyed them.
I still say there will always be room for nylons and hose on women, and it is just a matter of choice.

i once explained to a store manager (top manager) how much hurt he put on me by not carrying hose any more. told him as a husband, it's not fun shopping for hose and that his store had made my life easy with it's great and indepth selection.
now that he only carried two styles (none of which worked for any woman how had any sort of complexion or tan) was both offensive and bad business practice. it allienaged most of the women who lived by that store, and made life tough for husbands wh accepted to buy hose for their wives.
he shook his head and said that he thought declining sales meant no interest. i responded with, decline doesn't mean no sales. so instead of stocking so much, cut back. he agreed.
the following week, he was stocked up, but lightly. and he even told me how to get the styles i need from other vendors, and if i had been smart at the time, i'd written that down but didn't. he did even say that you can set up an account with many of those vendors and get your hose shipped to you directly in bulk (not huge quantities mind you, enough for a few weeks).. and the price per unit would be less than going to the store.
so.. hey, for those who like to wear hose, or have no choice.. now there are options. in fact, my wife remembered one of those, and every other month she gets a packet in the mail with all her fav hose. just enough to go the distance of the two months!!! and the quality is pretty much better than most store bought ones.

p.s. i've since learned that more and more women are going that route.. because stores are holding less variety and it's getting more expensive per pair. (used to get hose for a dollar, not now some are upwards of 15 dollars!!)

You know what I am starting to see at a fashion trend RPM? Tights! Opaque & textured tights seem to be hitting the hosiery aisles at some of the stores I visit (even places that don't regularly stock much hosiery). They aren't quite as sexy as a pair of sheer stockings to me personally, but they are very eye-catching, and many of the pairs I've seen are *much more* sheer than the tights that I remember wearing as a child.

I think they will always be in style for photo shoots and video's. Here in the AZ heat, it is to hot to wear pantyhose or stockings. I do love to wear them in my shoots though.

AmberLily, don't konw where you live, but where I live, last year was the year of tights. you could find them anywhere and tons of gals wore them. now, they're still around, but not with the same 'eagerness' or 'intensity'. they've gotten a lot more sheer in the middle of the trend.
sadly, as the trend seems to wear off, the thicker ones are more popular. but some of the tights were so sheer, you'd think they were regular hose.
yes, the sheer ones are very interesting.. and i wish i've had the chance to photograph a set or two more with these... only one set with wifee for someone on this forum.
Jane, yeah, heat can turn gals off to hose, even though not too long ago (90's) it felt as if gals didn't care for the heat and just wore their hose anyway (and they weren't as sheer as they are now... don't think)

I think nylons are here to stay forever- at least to some degree. As noted, they're still utilized by women in a professional environment from what I see. My wife wears them to work, but very rarely. (which is fine with me because I prefer bare). Fortunately for me, living in Florida where the dress code is predominantly casual, most ladies do the bare look.
