Anne Hathaway gets letters from fans asking for photographs of her bare feet.
The 'Rachel Getting Married' actress - who recently revealed she is dating actor Adam Shulman - is always freaked out when she gets bizarre fan mail from odd admirers.
She said: "It's nice to get good feedback from people who see the movies but I have had a few scary letters which I could really do without.
"I've had letters asking for pictures of my bare feet, which is just weird. I try not to take those too seriously because mostly everyone is really nice to me."
Anne, 25, isn't the only celebrity to have been bombarded with "weird" letters from fans.
'Pushing Daisies' star Anna Friel admits her stunning looks attract a lot of unwanted attention.
She said: "I don't really think about being a fantasy object. I'd only think about it if I got weird things through the post.
"There was a guy who sent me a photograph of his bedroom and it was walls and walls just covered in posters of me. I found that a bit freaky. And asking for knickers is weird too."

I think she's beautiful. Oh, and if you haven't seen the film Havoc, do yourself a favor, and go watch it. The movie is awful, but there are scenes that are entirely worth it. I'm pretty sure she is topless in a scene, and she lays down on her stomach with her bare feet up in the air behind her. Mmm mmm mmm...

I have asked a couple lovely ladies of the adult cinema if I might have a photo or two of their feet in addition to photos of the rest of them (only asked in person, never by mail). All but one was quite obliging (she seemed truly mystified); Tori Welles' response was "Hell, yeah!" and "Sure you got enough?". These are women who understand that there are guys who have special interests beyond T&A.
I wouldn't expect the same from female celebs, though they know the very same thing. The celebs use the situation to portray themselves as normal in a world gone mad. Further, it gives them an opportunity to claim that they have become a victim of their own talent/notoriety.
Still, in all, it is bad form to make such requests. Phanton22 has it pretty much right but I would add that some aren't weirdos, just socially inept.

i can only imagine if that other dude with picture shrine had sent her photos of her face cut and pasted on a shrine of foot modeling pics of her LOL
she'd definitely think the guy was nuts
how do we deal with these celebrity misinterpretations of us guys? i think there has to be a way we can get the positive message out to these celebs. i'm out of ideas at the moment but maybe just 1 foot guy out there out of the thousands of us can at least come up with a good PR campaign to reverse those kind of weirdo requests these innocent ladies get

I think a request from a random unknown person for a picture of any part of me would be strange if taken out of context.
Here among friends who are all aware that feet are not weird and that they are beautiful - it wouldn't seem weird at all.
But if some stranger wrote to me and asked me to send them a picture of my hair - or perhaps just my hands because he likes long nails -- I'd find that creepy!

Celeb or not..asking a girl who you are a complete stranger to give you pics of her feet dude...uh...is little freaky. Wether they are celebrity or not isnt the issue. Why should any girl let a guy take pics of her body parts when she jknows he is going to jerk off too it at home. I guess little look at it from their perspective. Diont get me wrong. I wish it was socially acceptable to ask a girl to show you her feet as a compliment...but society hasnt accepted foot fetishism as the norm yet.

I think it's so funny when little starlets get indignant or embarassed about being sexually objectified. It's almost like they think we are watching them for their talent and not their youthful beauty (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA). That's the reason I kept my fetish a secret for the longest time... because people would think I was weird. Luckily the internet has helped us all but letting the whole world that this fetish exists and that it's not as weird as they think and that we foot guys are tame. But yeah, I can see how an actor can get weired out if they saw a photo of a room with a bunch of photos of her and the guy is asking for pictures of her feet. Probably could have asked in a different way.
