Hello again, another question, this one of a more serious nature. I'm set to receive some worn socks through the mail and am quite looking forward to that. For reasons which I'm sure you can deduce, I can't have them sent to my house. I'm thinking of getting a post office box instead. Has anyone ever done that? Do I have to give personal information to apply, such as my address? I don't want the post office sending anything to my house. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (I am in the U.S. btw).

Erm - well I have that problem with my girlfriend...lol
(We're in a long distance relationship and I have some coming next week XD)

What I did was - I found a trusted friend (who I knew wouldn't open my mail) and she's sent some letters and that and he just gave em to me next time he saw me...

She's sending the socks in a "tough-bag" and has said it's a "cuddly toy" that she's sending on the list of what's inside you have to fill out...

If you can find a friend you trust - do this..

If you need a P.O. box why not just ask someone at the post office for all the details. I had a friend in California that used his for business and I sent him a pair of my wife's socks sealed in a baggie one time. I just gave him the heads up that the package was on the way in e-mail. He wasn't keen about having his current live in girlfriend finding out about the special delivery either. I don't think the postal service is going to send you anything to your home to let you know you have a package waiting. That's why people get the boxes in the first place.

Dee, Fancy, Francine, Hailie and Masuimi Max all sent their socks to my PO Box when I still had one, and there was never an issue.

*edited to add Ms. Max to the list.

How do Hailie's feet smell?
I've always wondered...

It's an aroma you have to experience for yourself in order to appreciate. ;0)

I received some of Hailie's socks a while back... wow and wonderful are my words for them...

I did have a p.o. box when I was getting socks and there was no hassle at all. I didn't get any mail at my house about the box even when it closed. And if you turn in the key before the length of time is up that you paid for you shouldn't have any worries either. I still have my key and I haven't received anything at home about it. So it is safe.. well my experience was. Hope that helps

PO box certainly is the safest route you can take. However, they're quite expensive. Buying over long distances can be tricky, I should know!

Albatross, who's sending you socks? If you haven't yet decided, I'd suggest steering clear of Businesses Mailing Socks your way, and instead deal with the model(s) of your dreams directly...

I did the post office box method. It is a girl I know and am friends with.
