OK. I'll bite... The name sounds as though she's a member of the Bilderbergers but, really, "Who is she"? Yes, I love barefoot women but how does this directly affect me? Who the hell is Martha? Why is she involved? At the risk of seeming to ridicule, I genuinely want to know how tragically uninformed I am.

This is just more confirmation that I live in a cultural backwater. Our cable system (one of the first three in the US) leaves a lot to be desired. It shouldn't surprise me that I miss these sorts of things.
Anyway, thanks for filling me in. I posted a similar note of thanks last night but it seems it didn't stick.
