There are so many losers on this planet...Myspace seems to be a meeting place for many of them.

A female friend just recently sent me some Myspace profiles...all were from imposters posing as models from my website. Some of them were even posing as my friend (the one who sent me the mail)...it was so ridiculous.

I´m glad I try to avoid Myspace.

I also experienced this. Someone posted their profile as footgurl. I politely emailed her and she changed her handle.

Last week MySpace deleted me and won't tell me why. Good riddance!

This is just too silly, why pose as somebody else instead of just posing as yourself? For all we know it could be a guy that's posting the pics and have a female handle. We're living in some crazy times. LOL

Yeah, in my case it turned out that it was a man posing as my models. Pretty sicko!

I would not agree in all cases [Wink]

As for the "imposter" profile ... Shelley was actually told about the said profile (months back) and she didn't seem to mind (at the time).

That happend to me before with Myspace too. I emailed them and the person pretending to be me and it did eventually come down. I don't know if it was Myspace or that person.... I guess they got tired of me emails.

Thats pretty shitty, I've had that about 3 times over the years.

I know about the imposter and I did send an e-mail to myspace about it and I recieved an e-mail back the next day which gave me instructions about how to prove the pics and page was someone other than me which were pretty complicated and it did nothing but piss me off [Mad] However I printed the pages and joined, After I did that the pics were changed to other pics, the same ones that are on there now. I contacted a lawyer and he said he could take my case but it would cost me and a law suit against someone who had alot of time to spend on the internet would most likley not be worth it. He also told me it was a clearly a case of identity theft and that I should involve law enforcement like the Federal trade Commission or The F.B.I. which I still did not do for the simple fact that I didn't wanna get involved with them UNTIL NOW. You can think that they won't do anything however I feel much much different, considering the context within the page of this imposter.
Thank You 2nd for reminding me about this...Shelley

Same thing happened to one of the foot models I shoot with on Flickr. Someone opened an account and started posting her pictures saying it was her. I had to take down several profiles cause of that. Flcikr's pretty fast about taking down fakes due to copyright infringement. But it's still a pain in the ass.

i see imposter profiles on myspace all the time. its usually just men pretending to be lesbians with foot fetishes. they're pretty easy to spot.
