Is there a good reasonable digital camera that could be recommended..(for between $100 -$150)

Any well know name brand for that price range would be good, but you'd have a better selection with a price range of $150-200.

I have been looking at the Kodak Easyshare Z1485. It has some cool features as well as HD photo at 14MegaPixel.
You can find them on ebay for around $140 USD.

I actually bought the Kodak EasyShare M1093-IS for private use a couple of weeks ago. It was really cheap (around 120 Euros) and the photos are pretty good. The best thing about it is the video function which allows you to film at a resolution of up to 1280x960 in Quicktime (.mov-format)...and the quality of the clips is very decent.

I've got a Canon A540. I bought it when it came out a couple of years ago for about $250. It got the best review out of cameras in its price range and specs. You can probably get one now for about half that on amazon or ebay. Great camera.

Look at Ben's post in the Miscellaneous section about cheap cameras. He's gotten good results with cameras lower than your budget.
