These kids today ... they have no idea about Usenet newsgroups, and having to chain big blocks of code together and then run the file through a decoder just to get a 100K picture image scanned from Redbook magazine. Then we'd jack off to that photo until we were sore ... we did it, and we liked it!
It was such a labor-intensive project that we were selective about the images that we saved. At one time, I was able to keep my entire Internet porn collection on two floppy disks.
It's enough to make you shake your head.

i still use usenet. it's the virus free version of limewire if you ask me. love it.
i wasnt around for the dialup BBS boards though.

Been there, my friend. Did it while walking five miles to school ... uphill ... both ways ... in the snow ... etc.
Speaking as a guy who once used a computer (Radio Shack TRS-80 Model 100) equipped with a 300-baud modem, which required acoustic couplers to connect to the computer at the other end of the phone line, and 10 minutes to transfer a 10K text file, I still marvel at being able to download a 2GB hi-def movie file in less than two minutes nowadays.

Oh man, she certainly does have perfect feet. I can still remember 'Little Man Tate' where she is on the window sill, consoling her depressed son, and she puts her dirty feet right in his face. I was 14 when I saw that movie and that scene always drove me nuts.

I've been wanting to watch that scene for a very long time!!! Hopefully someone will eventually post it somewhere like on Youtube or such.
