Would you ever buy shoes for a pretty stranger? Lets say I had some friends on facebook that posted pics of their feet. If you bought them a pair of shoes of their choice....they'd model them for you in any way you liked(non explicitly of course)

I wasn't thinking their face would be shown. It was actually a business idea...the fourth i've come up with today. Basically the website would link normal young women who think their feet are pretty with guys like us. The allure for them would be free shoes...the allure for us would be getting women that aren't into foot fetish to model for us. Girls would theoretically take pics of their feet along with the shoes they would like. Guys willing to buy the shoes would get pics or videos from the girl in return.
I would like to keep faces out of it and the interaction between girl and guy to a minimum because lets face it......some foot fetish guys are disgusting creeps. The allure would be that these girls would be normal everyday girls. The allure for the girls would be free shoes with minimal investment. I'm SUPER picky about the feet I like and would rather spend money on drinks getting a chic drunk than pay for content...BUT! If I saw a pair of feet I really liked I might actually frequent the site.
I'm thinking a facebook type interface...where you have the "john's" who pay and the "dame's" who post pictures or videos of their feet and shoes they want hoping to get a john to buy it for them.
I guess the real goal is to create an anonymous relationship between two people based on their love of feet and shoes...No pic or other identifying information is needed from the "john"....and just pics or videoof the girl's feet is needed from "dame". No stalkers...no embarrassment. Just "art" for the john and shoes for the dame. Next time she needs a new pair she can send the john pictures or video to entice him to buy her more.
If I could avoid the "ick" factor that goes along with foot fetishes...this could completely change the foot fetish game. I can see a yahoo feature on it now.......

You'd be surprised at the cost of getting a model to do a custom photo set for you:
$65 bucks from a foot model for 50 pics. Shoes vary in price and would be negotiated with the girl you pick. A relationship can be made between buyer and buyee. I think 100 foot pics for a pair of aldo shoes is no biggie. Unless a girl is super busy I doubt she'll argue over 70 pics vs 60.
More thought would have to be put into it...but it'd be intersting to have a foot fetish site with the majority of it's clientele being young vanilla women who think their feet are pretty and want shoes!

I think that is a totally reasonable quote for custom/controlled by the buyer material, including shooting and delivery.
If it's 50 crappy out-of-focus headless shots, done with an iphone then surely not, but if its normally shot, typically involves more than one person, I think its a totally reasonable price.

I'm very interested in your opinion, but i'm not sure I quite understood you. The site would allow the girls to pick the shoes they wanted. Of course the more expensive they were the less likely someone would be willing to purchase them. But a modestly priced shoe from aldoshoes.com zappos.com would be easier on most people's budgets. My girlfriend and I order shoes from them all the time.

Funny. As a single guy....i'd hate this concept. But as a guy in a relationship I love the idea of perusing a site where normal girls WANT to model their feet for me. I miss random hookups sending me feet pics so it'd be nice to have it again without an actual relationship. And for the guys that get no foot action...this could be a fun outlet for them.

But as you described and prior to mentioning thats would be a website the original setup is.
Here is 19-23 broke college female registering with the site to get free shoes. Here is female + $70 pair of shoes someone selected for her which got drop shipped to her home. Here is 19-23 broke jobless female posting pictures of said shoes while modeling them specifically as the buyer requested.
Problems, 19-23 female does not want to wear shoes purchased since they are not hip, or they don't fit, no avenue to exchange them as she is not the buyer. If she cannot afford shoes, she cannot afford more than mobile phone camera either I would think, not a professional at taking pictures, ashamed to involve friends, ends up shooting from a tripod or aiming camera at the floor.
Also those types of girls that would model for such custom picture sets, hang out on the same sites as me, hawking their bras, panties, socks, shoes etc to the highest bidder and obviously collecting direct customers and requests and filling out their Amazon Wish lists.
Biggest problem obviously being is to get these girls to visit these websites and register! As in get traffic, from both the potential shoe buyers and the potential foot models and convince them that signing up is a good idea, also controlling that there is no fraud in such a venue, or harassment or etc..
There is no environment that would be deemed "pleasant" for your average college student when a bad apple starts messaging them with this or that.

I would think RateMyPicture type website for female feet would be more apropos and purchasing books and clothing vs. shoes is typically what's on the mind more over shoes when in college, this is why my most beat up shoes are from my college days.
However trying to one-up each-other in a battle of "vote for me" and I'm the cutest is definitely that will motivate someone to post all types of photographs you desire to see, yours for the taking if you can build a site like that.
The only ones I'd want gifted to me would be something that would make my sister jealous like Gucci, and non-foot guys do that in person if you ask right.

The girl would choose the shoe. The guy would choose the girl. The girl models on her feet whatever the guy asks within reason. Some shoes are $40 others are $700.....the girl can put whatever shoe she wants on the site. The higher the price the fewer the buyers however.
As for books and clothing....sure these are NEEDS. What woman NEEDS these shoes? No one. That's the fun here. It's a want that she can't justify. Sure she has $70 but it's not frugal to spend on a pair of pumps she'll wear a couple of times this summer. She can hop on the website. Snap a few pics with an iPhone 4 camera 4MP or a 4S 8MP or equivalent(does anyone buy real cameras anymore?) Post the pics on the site and see if she gets a bite. A guy sees it...makes his request and buys the shoes. Girl snaps shots for him. After the transaction is over each party will rate the other. If the guy is a creep, he'll be banned. Seeing as we'd need his credit card info and IP address this would be fairly easy.
The goal would be to make it as non creepy as possible...and actually bring normal girls into the foot fetish world a bit.
As for getting the traffic...that would be the hard part. Will this be accepted on campuses nationwide. A clean, user friendly, simple site that keeps the weirdos at bay(or at least behaving themselves) would be a must.
If this were to work out the foot fetish community would get alot of exposure in a non threatening way. We'd also be able to attract TALENT....something that the foot fetish world lacks.
The ratemypicture idea is pretty brilliant actually!!! If I were to launch this(I have a long queue of projects so don't hold your breath) I think i'd start off with something as simple as that. Depending on how that worked out I might expand it...or simply steal your idea and leave it at that! Hmmm.

As one who loves feet and footwear I think the overall concept is excellent. As others have mentioned there are some details and potential problems that would have to be overcome. I'm not sure how you'd anonymously send a girl shoes without third party involvement so she doesn't/couldnt find out your identity. And the issue of her renigging on her end of the deal is a biggie too. But honestly I can see lots of girls being interested in this.

I'd ensure there was a safe guard. The photos she post to pique your interest in the first place would be representative of the pics you'd get. The website would take your payment...and hold it till you get your pics/vids. Upon receipt of the pics the order would be put through.

Understand. However a review system wouldn't deter a girl who just wants to use the system to obtain one special pair of footwear and doesn't care about the photo quality or the money. Based on your safeguards she would not get paid for the photos but the guy is out the pair of shoes which could potentially be costly.

You'd be able to see the kinds of pics she'll take before hand. That's why you'd choose her, based on her foot beauty and picture taking quality. If I did this and took a fee as the third party i'd compensate jilted members. But I feel that I wouldn't have to pay much since no girl is satisfied with just one shoe. Hell...if I knew I could get a new pair of shoes by just taking pics/video of my ugly ass feet i'd be down! And back!
