Hello everyone I have one of the smelliest pair of ballet flats from my friend who has worn them barefoot for over two years, they are now going to be sent to Europe my question is what happens if customs opens the parcel there is only shoes in there that smell can they confiscate them.

Unless a shoe bomber planted a bomb in them then my guess is that they will let them go through.

I send worn shoes from my models to people in the U.S. and overseas. I use U.S.P.S, and on my customs label I tell the truth and write down "apparel". And so as to not draw attention, I select "gift" and write down a small amount such as $5 for the amount of the item.
If I use U.P.S, they usually want to see the contents of the package.
Just have your friend secure them inside a ziplock bag, and then a paper bag or plastic bag. You have to be creative. If anyone asks what are they for, just say you are going to create an exhibit featuring worn out shoes.
Did you know there was a smelliest shoes contest a few years ago, and lots of kids participated in it. The prize went to a girl whose sneakers were atrocious!
