"The Pose" is one of the best modeling poses for us foot guys. The best part, is that it is both a face shot and sole shot in one pose. The second best part, is that it is a very natural pose. Hence, all the natural (candid) "the pose shots" that are taken.

Yet I think the phrase, "the pose" is exclusive to the foot fetish community. However I can be wrong and therefore my post. Does anyone know the origin of the phrase?

I can date myself to around 2007 and the phrase has been popular in our community since at least then. I am sure others can confirm it being much older than that. Are there any other insights?

I believe if I ask a random person (non foot fetish) what the pose is they would say something like. "What pose?" Yet in our community it is a wonderful phrase that is here to stay.

Ever since I can remember, I just thought of it as being "the" pose. As in it is so great that it need no further description.

By the way, I am NOT sorry for being long winded.

I have no affiliation to him but visit his C4S store, he puts in a ton of quality work. I am not only glad for my foot fetish but I am glad he has one because he actually produces material. The only material I produce is my semen after watching his clips but that is a whole other story. I hope this made you laugh rather than gag.

I have never been a fan of "The Pose" because if you come across a pic of some female in the pose you found attractive and pretended to worship her soles on screen you can't see her face because her feet are in the background.
I like poses/angles where the feet/foot/sole(s) are in your face with her face in the background so if you pretended to worship her feet/foot/sole(s)whatever they are right there in your face and you can also look up/at her face at the same time making it feel more realistic.

The phrase "the pose" definitely predates 2007. I remember when I first used the internet to look for foot fetish pics back in 1996 and this phrase was being used by guys on the "Mousepad" foot forum.

Before I joined or found out about any foot sites in the early 2000's, I called it "that pose". I've always been a huge fan of it. I doubt we'll ever know who started it.
