Anyone notice the reporter who was dangling her slingback at 0:52???
Women are highly critical of each other. The frumpy or mediocre ones hate on the pretty or perfect ones because they have possess something they don't--looks and usually, privilege. You notice how the frumpy, curly-haired reporter did a Tiger Woods when she said, "Found her flaw!"
The other women noted how she was flawless as usual, so they desperately wanted to see her feet when they found out she removed her shoes. They were looking for something, anything, that would take Kate down a notch/peg, or two. And they found two--Kate's feet.
The other Pretty and perfect ones don't usually hate on the frumpy and mediocre one, as much as they bash them for not having good looks or privilege. Think back to school. The pretty and perfect ones got chauffeured to school by parents, and later, were given their own cars to drive. Meanwhile, the frumpy and mediocre ones typically rode the school bus. If they ever got a car, they had to get a job to pay for it cash, or to pay the note or insurance.
Also, there are certain expectations placed upon certain members of society, those in certain positions, and with certain status. Those expectations can be physical or material.

I have seen another article and picture of her feet that looked absolutely nasty. Her feet sometimes look like a man's feet.

haha dang well she doesn't exactly have model-quality feet ... but as was mentioned in one of the above links at least other women whose feet aren't quite up to par don't have the misfortune of having zoomed-in pics of their feet splashed all over the media worldwide like Kate the Duchess of Cambridge has ...
