I did this lasy year when training camp started.

Last year I picked the Colts and the Falcons to play in last years SUPER BOWL game.We all know I was wrong. But, not by much.

My pick for this years SUPER BOWL is

Patriots
v
Cowboys

I know I know. The Patriots lost their Offensive and Defensive coaches.

They will return.......They are still the most balanced TEAM in Football.Even without the few key players they lost in the off-season.

I have a feeling the Cowboys with the Tuna and Bledsoe are gonna surprise alot of people.

MY RAIDERS will win the AFC WEST!!!!!!!!!!!! [Big Grin]

Oh Sasha' I didn't think you could ever be more sexy to me. I was wrong, you picked--"my boys"-- I do think they are gonna make a good run, being the nfc is weak, I really have high hopes, the fatman has been non stop since the season ended.

This is real early, but my picks are:
Colts vs Cowboys

If the Skins could win 1 from Dallas this year, We will win it all. Wu knows what I'm talking about.

I'd normally yell about the Cowboys pic but Sasha just so cute I'll keep massaging her feet and nodding. [Smile]

Steelers vs Eagles
Pats vs Eagles
Colts vs Eagles

Pretty much Philly's coming out of the NFC.

LOL! Yeah, I look at the NFC and I shake my head. Other than Philly (unfortunately), there really isn't a team that stands out. The Panthers and Saints came on strong at the end of last season. We'll see if that carries over into this season. I don't trust the Vikes.

Make no mistake about this sexy legged foot babe.
She Does Know Football- [Eek!]

It's not a bad pick, nfc is weak, and I think philly is going down. T'O is an ass.

watch out for Tampa Bay

Ok you have really cute feet but I gotta object by saying swapping Vinny for Bledsoe is like trading a blood red car in for an apple red one.

Sure there's been a change but not a very big one.

I'd seriously invest in getting that Henson kid on the field more.

It's just a hunch......If Bledsoe has time to pass he is much better than Vinnie.

True but he also loves tossing passes to the wrong team.

So much talk on Drew, It's julius Jones and the D'fence thats going to pound out victories.

Alright, depending on how things are in Philly, im not sure if they will make it out of the NFC. So many distractions surrounding T.O. and such. If he would just act like a normal football player and not compare himself to certain son's of the Almighty then maybe the Eagle's could be a solid team. I like the Eagles, and I like Donovan McNabb, he's my favorite QB in the league. But T.O. is bringing a lot of bad publicity, and that could hurt them. I want to reserve judgement till after week 2 or 3 so I can see the teams in action, but I will have to go with....

Pittsburgh vs Minnesota

Just a hunch.

I`m picking me Seahawks to make the superbowl(pleese..lol)..I`ll say we will beat either the Pats, colts or Steelers, hehe.

Jacksonville for a smokey in the AFC
Arizona for the NFC smokey

GO SEAHAWKS!!

Posted by Adam X (Member # 2872) on :

Arizona if they click have all the piece's to win the their division due it being so very weak.

Not sure how they'd do in the playoffs though.

so thats how it is huh guys? a woman with pretty feet come sin here and says the coboys are going to the superbowl and all of a sudden everyone agrees? lol cowboys SUCK! now mind you i have 2 teams. the lions and the saints. i know for a fact that one of them will make the playoffs if not both of them. as for winning it all, im still stuck on the patriots. i know they lost some key players but they are still strong. and teams like that loose people and then rookies step up and keep the team as strong as they were before. as for the nfc its hard to pick. i just dont see the eagles or falcons going to the super bowl. so im gonna just say new egland vs. whomever with new england winning.
p.s. and boston will win the world series AGAIN!

Sasha's quite the mind controler. [Wink]

Though with Philly in shambles and NYG/Wash not quite ready maybe they could sneak it out.

Sasha uses her overpowering stinky feet to hypnotize us, keep us in thrall and subject us to do her nefarious bidding! That said, I'll go with the Steelers and the Eagles.

All I have to say is I AM SO F**KING GLAD THE RAVENS DIDN'T GET T.O.! What a jackass! And speaking of the Ravens, they'll out play the Steelers this year. Does anyone actually think Big Ben is a 15-1 quarterback? He was coming around at the end of the season. Ravens or Patriots take the AFC this year. As for NFC, who plays in that league again? Heehee...

Mason and Rolle won't save you when the STEEL CURTAIN runs wild on you....BROTHER! [Wink]

Seriously, it should be a tight divison with Cincy improved and Cleveland getting better slowly but they're getting there.

Also Sasha speaks the truth, Atlanta,Philly and maybe Carolina should dominate and everthing else is up in the air in the NFC.

Posted by Sasha (Member # 1842) on :

Do any of you guys think like me that Arizona might make the playoffs this year???

Sasha

Posted by Adam X (Member # 2872) on :

Yes.

Look at the PUTRID division they play in and how much they've filled the holes they had.

If Warner stays healthy then they should be quite good.

Everyone needs to get prepared for the San Diego Super Chargers! They're going all the way this year! Mark my words.. "San Diego Chargers to be the next dynasty!"

WTF?
the CHARGERS?!?

Put the crack pipe down!

Pats vs. Cowboys

I hate the Cowboys, but Parcell and Bledsoe make a good mix. Though, Bledsoe stinks when you need him the most, remember 98? he BLEW it!!!

I remember him with the Pats, he stunk it up.
Then Brady steps up and delivers.
Glad to see drew go.
glad also that Dallas has him now.
lol

Fearless predictions, '05 edition

Time to hang myself out there with some fearless predictions for the 2005 season. But since I believe they'll happen, I don't think they're so fearless, so I'm not hanging myself out there too far:
• Kyle Boller will have a 1.5-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio. And because of that, Baltimore will win 11 games.

• Big Ben will struggle, and you will hear more grumblings about his "likeability" factor in the lockerroom. There are already whispers that many Steelers hate the guy ESPN The Magazine tabbed "Next."

• Drew Brees will fall off slightly from his '04 season but will lead the Chargers to their second consecutive AFC West title, and Philip Rivers will be traded to Tampa or Miami in the offseason.

• Falcons fans will be treated to some good football: Philly, Minnesota, New England and Green Bay all come to town.

• Houston's defense will finish in the top 10, but the Texans will miss the playoffs again.

• Chad Pennington will start all 16 games for the first time in his career.

• With Bill Belichick calling the plays, Ty Law will be burnt twice for touchdowns when the Jets play the Pats on Dec. 4 and 26.

• Law will finish the season with two interceptions.

• Kyle Orton will have some success but will eclipse David Carr as the QB most flagged for intentional grounding. (Carr was nailed an NFL-high five times last year, according to Stats Inc.)

• Miami will beat New England in Week 10.

• Opposing QBs will finish the year with a higher QB rating vs. the Raiders than that of Oakland's Kerry Collins, even with Randy Moss.

• Marc Bulger will lead the NFL in passer rating.

• Dwight Freeney will repeat as NFL sack champ.

• Laveranues Coles will lead the NFL in receptions.

• Corey Dillon will lead the NFL in rushing.

• Baltimore will lead the NFL in defense and finish in the Top 15 in offense.

• Offensive rookie: Troy Williamson, Vikings WR.

• Defensive rookie: Derrick Johnson, Chiefs LB.

• League MVP: LaDainian Tomlinson.

• Comeback Player of the Year: Jamal Lewis. (Can you "comeback" from jail?)

• Drop-offs (those who will come back to earth after good '04 seasons): Reuben Droughns, Tiki Barber, Muhsin Muhammad, Brian Griese.

• Current coordinators who will be head coaches by 2007: Al Saunders, Chiefs offensive coordinator; Eric Mangini, Pats defensive coordinator.

• Even though my magazine is picking Minnesota to go to the Super Bowl, I say the Vikings, struggling on defense and running the ball, will win only nine games. (Hey, it's still an improvement over last year.)

• Willis McGahee is primed to finish as a Top 5 rusher but won't, because J.P. Losman will struggle too much.

• Dom Capers will be let go at year's end.

• D.J. Williams, the first Bronco to record double-digit tackles-for-loss since John Mobley, will get 11 TFLs.

• Carolina will snap its 0-5 record against the Michael Vick-led Falcons on Dec. 4.

• Philadelphia will finish with home-field advantage in the NFC again.

• This weird stat won't be repeated: Last year's Super Bowl participants, the Pats and Eagles, led the NFL in most 10-play drives allowed (Philly 34, Pats 32). Thanks, Stats Inc.

And the winners are ...
• NFC Division champs: Philadelphia, Carolina, Arizona and Minnesota.
• NFC Wild Cards: Detroit, Atlanta.
• NFC first round: Arizona over Detroit; Atlanta over Minnesota.
• NFC Divisional Round: Carolina over Atlanta; Philly over Arizona.
• NFC Championship: Philly over Carolina.

• AFC Division champs: New England, Baltimore, Indianapolis and San Diego.
• AFC Wild Cards: Denver, New York.
• AFC First Round: Indy over Denver; San Diego over New York.
• AFC Divisional Round: New England over Indy; San Diego over Baltimore.
• AFC Championship: San Diego over New England.

Super Bowl XL Champ: San Diego Chargers.

Boller is coming around alright.

He now only throws three INT's a game instead of four.

Thought I'd re-hash this thread now that the playoff picture is alot clearer. My prediction turned out 50% correct so far, although I doubt Pittsburgh will be a match for the Colts this weekend. I wonder if the Eagles would've made it, if not for the T.O. problems they had. There is alot of talent on that team.
