Does anyone else hate this team for spending so much money that most teams can't do anything but groom their own players, only to see them go there eventually? I didn't think we'd land Texiera here in Baltimore, but damn! The Yanks already got CC and AJ. I though the Yankees were after Manny.

If they don't win the AL Pennant this year, the Steinbrenners need to just give up baseball operations to somebody who actually understands the game beyond just throwing more money at the roster. I don't hate the Yankees, but I have a lot of disdain for them, and it's even more so considering I have an obnoxious Yankee fan for a friend who's in absolute gloat mode right now.
I'll laugh my ass off if the Rays win the division again. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to punch out my Yankee friend.

Patrick, the yanks never officially said they were going to go after manny. Manny himself was telling reporters and friends that he expects the yanks to drop him an offer. that ended up only being a rumor. now that they got "Big Tex", they don't need him nor do they have room for him on their roster now. they have no spot for him in the outfield or at the DH spot. that is unless they trade an outfielder or two for players that are not outfielders or DH's. they will use "Big Tex" as protection for A-Rod.
