Now I am from the United States but this new currency that has sprung up just nine years ago that is catching on in a lot of European countries (well, hence the name obviously) and with its spreading influence and higher value than the U.S. Dollar what if Americans switched over? Tough I know but it could mean lower gas prices and better inflation (consumer goods went up at their highest rate since 1990 lately). The Euro is smart in that it doesn't have a paper version of the equivalent to our one dollar bill (there are One-Euro and Two-Euro coins). But the Founding Fathers may scoff at such a notion - let's face it, right now our currency is stubborn. People love their one dollar bills - and understandably so, I love my one dollar bills, too - but we don't need pennies. U.S. citizens worry so much about losing money by rounding off transactions. Bottom line is though that when the government makes $80 million dollars in pennies, it costs them $130 million meaning that there is a loss of $50 million right there. It's so intriguing how stubborn people can be. The U.S. eliminated the half-cent in 1857 due to it costing more money than the denomination was worth. Also, at the time, that half-cent meant more back then than it did today - adjusted for inflation. CNN showed a story where a small store in New York had a sign that said 'EUROS ONLY' as method of payment. Something is just wrong with our economy.

Did you know that some hip hop bands are starting to use Euros instead of Dollars to show how "rich" they are(in their music clips and on their albums)? The Euro is the new bling
And it`s probably going to grow even stronger with the European market constantly growing and new countries joining the EU.

Here is a little reality. The Browning Rep. from the custom shop in Liege, Belgium visited our local dealer yesterday. Eight years ago a custom made B25 Grade I retailed for $8000 USD. Now the same exact gun is over $24000. Rep. said all due to the Euro and weakness of the USD. Go figure! http://www.browning.com/products/catalog/firearms/custom/index.asp
