Zimbabwe of course! With inflation over there due to all the insane turmoil going on they are printing BILLION DOLLAR BILLS to go in circulation on Monday! These have the purchasing power of buying four fresh oranges. I was reading back in 1980 (before Mugabe took power) their dollar was equal to the American dollar. The place used to be known as the "breadbasket of Africa" and besides sustaining its own people exported food to much of Africa. Of course you know that ain't the case today.
I'm curious if anyone here is following any of this?

Yes, I read about it too. Itīs seriously insane...I hope this will finally mean the end of Mugabe`s dictatorship.
There have been billion Deutschmark bills in Germany during the hyper-inflation of 1923. People were actually burning the bills to heat their houses instead of buying coals with it. During that time 1 USD = 4 Trillion Deutschmarks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inflation_in_the_Weimar_Republic
But you Americans should watch out...your US-Dollar isn`t doing too well either. Last week it sunk as low as never before (in relation to the Euro).

We have not really felt the crunch in our house- but we have friends who have just because of their professions etc... its crazy how bad some are having it - when 2 yrs ago, they were on top of the world over here financially...

I can confirm that Tiny Dave. I worked in construction. I've been unemployed since December. Right now I'm making ends meet by remodeling a house in Orlando for 1/2 my usual wages.

Have you guys considered moving to Canada?? Alberta/BC/Sask to be more specific...crazy I know...moving to a different state is one thing but Canada's $ is currently trading at almost par with the US and in those 3 provinces alone you especially sofa would make a fortune. If you have any kind of trade then you are set in the west...we have a HUGE oil boom and it has no signs of slowing down. It carries over to not just the oil patch but the housing market as well as everything out there. You can literally fly into Calgary airport with no job and within 5 minutes of being in Calgary you could have any job you wanted they are that desperate for help. Just something to consider...especially if you have fallen on hard times.

Aside from the "real" dollars argument. It is actually Moscow.
Wyoming has more jobs than anyone can hande, great 1031 opportunties if you can handle rentals. They set up Man camps since there are more jobs than housing. Altho Tampa may be warmer.
Del Mar is really the only place I know that has not seen price declines in this market...If you have seen the ponies at that track you'd know why.

Fuck man...being a "ice road trucker" is just one of the thousands of jobs there is. Depends on your skill sets/certifications. But yes...ice road truckers make a butt fuck load.
