I know it's naughty naughty and a no no but I've been guilty of it a few times and now much much much less maybe even zero times after a chick died last year when her vehicle smashed 80km p/h into a parked car while texting.
Oh well check this dude out. Texts and makes a call driving a ............. you'll see

Been there, but rarely do that. I have a business and personal phone and I'll do it if it's the former. I'll pull over most of the time if there's a place to do it. For my personal phone they'll have to wait.

Oh i do it pretty frequently because ... I CAN unlike some of these other people out there i have the talent to do it. Never however in the pouring rain or snow, I know my limits. The one day i had a young person can't remember male or female that was swerving all over the road and i passed them as fast as i could and when i looked over they were texting. Never a cop around when you need one for shit like that

Yeah, you "talented" people are the reason my wife was rear ended on the road a few years back and our car was totaled. The lady that hit her immediately offered to call the police since she had her phone in hand.
I am totally guilty of texting and driving! But most of the time it's when I'm in traffic so I'm going very slow - or there's no one on the road and I'm only going a steady 80 mph. LOL
Does that make me bad!

if a hot chick isn't surrounded by her posse she is texting or talking on her phone
what is so important that you people can't go a few minutes without talking to somebody?
15 years ago only businessman used cell phones and the world worked just fine
if somebody runs into me while texting i swear i will have an intense case of road rage

i have done it three times.. all biz text.. thankfully, two of those times.. i was well under 40 mph.. i felt it was safer to slow down since i was the only one on the road with no pull over area... short txt.. felt so unsafe!! so unsafe! the other time was in heavy traffic.
i won't ever do that again. scared me straight. even at low speed.. can't seem to feel like i know where i'm driving. so.. i will not txt and drive again!!! scared me straight.
to those with the talent.. be careful.. to the rest of you.. don't!!! not worth the risk
RPM
p.s. nothing happened to me, but realizing it could and i'd not see it coming.. scared me!

I've done it...haven't done it in a while then again haven't texted in awhile, either
Lately, though, it seems like it's hard to pass a person on the highway who actually isn't talking on their phone while driving....I would be the least bit surprised if a law makes it through Michigan to make talking-texting illegal while driving.

I don't text so, not guilty here. If I have something to say to someone I call them, and most of the time I use a bluetooth ear piece when I do.

i have been thinking alot about what LD had said. he is lucky that his wife was able to walk away from that. if that was my family in the car i just don't know what i would have done. scares me to even think about it. my phone is staying in my purse from now on. that is a situation i don't want to be involved in no matter how talented i am. i didn't think that it was a big deal because nothing bad has happened to me or anyone that i know. the reality is is that it DOES happen. thanks for the reality check LD.

Ophillia I'm surprised you got a reality check just from reading my post. I've read so many local news articles in the paper where people are actually killed because they are busy with the phones and not paying attention to traffic on the road. Not too long ago in my town a car with four teenage girls went off the road and wrecked killing all. An investigation showed that the driver was using her phone sending a text message at the time of the accident. Caused a lot of grief at their school and with their surviving friends and family I'm sure.
My wife was lucky in that case as she was stopped at the front of the red light when the lady in the big SUV plowed in to that back of her and no other traffic was crossing the road. Just a little sore back and neck for a few days. Car was a total loss though.
