Hey there, Well, summer is coming and I'm gonna get my ass on a new coaster in Kings Dominion, VA in the upcoming weeks here. I LOVE roller coasters and at last count, I've been on about 72 (if I've managed to remember every one I've been on according to the list on www.coasterbuzz.com).
Anyone else here a roller coaster junkie too? Any coasters to recommend? I need to get to some of the parks off the East Coast here, although I did manage to get to Cedar Point, OH last year.
Here are some of the ones I've really liked over the years and if you have a chance to get to any of these parks, hop on these for sure!

...or Alpengeist - Busch Gardens, VA (I believe this is the same coaster as the Medusa

I just saw an ad on TV for a new coaster here at Sea World in Orlando. It's called "Manta" They say that you ride head first and face down. (Like Superman Flying?)

Those are some kick ass looking roller coasters. The Six Flags over by me has one called the Titan, but it doesn't look really nearly as crazy as those.

I've only been on one, New Zealands only one which is about 30seconds long, so I can't compare it to anywhere else

I've been a Roller Coaster junkie all my life but have had little opportunity to travel and there are many that I have missed.
Recently went to Hershey Park. I absolutely adored the Great Bear and the Lightning Racer (ours won); the Comet was a wonderful thrill.
They also have a coaster called the Wildcat. This is a great roller coaster but I should mention that the designers are clearly sadists; most roller coasters have the feel of the pull of gravity, this one gives the sensation of being thrown. It is a vicious and nearly abusive ride that I can't wait to try again and again.
I should mention that I grew up and worked at a small amusement park called Conneaut Lake Park (Northwest Pa.). It has been closed more than open over the last decade. At this park is the historic and original "Blue Streak". By comparison, this roller coaster is tame now (though it boasted speed well exceeding the Great Bear) but it is still a great ride. The sense of history is palpable there as the coaster is nearly a century old. The Park and the ride are expected to be fully functional in the next couple of years (I admit some skepticism here) and I hope for the best for it.
I certainly welcome PM's as regards the progress of the Park and will provide any "touristy" information that might be of help.

If you get the chance, get to Six Flags in Jersey. It looks like you might be in the Pennsylvania area, so it's not a long ride. You'll find quite a few coasters there. Nitro is one of my favorites.

Ha! A bunch of us from work went to Six Flags in Jersey last summer and I told everyone I wanted to get on the Kingda Ka first because it looked like it was running and being a Six Flags park, the rides usually break and get shut down 3 times a day. We had like 15 people from work and only 6 or so of us went for that ride first. Anyhow, we got in line, which wasn't long. Wouldn't you know it, the ride gets shut down for like 15 minutes. We stayed in line and got to ride it. Later in the day, it was shut down for the rest of the evening. The rest of my co workers never got to ride it.
About a month later my friend and his fiance went to Cedar Point, Ohio and we stood in line for Top Thrill Dragster and it broke too while in line, but for almost 2 hours. It began running again later that day, but we said fuck it because we were so mad with the combined experiences on these coasters, which are almost identical.
For those of you wondering, here is what the coasters look like:
Kingda Ka: 456 ft drop. +128 mph
Top Thrill Dragster: 420 ft drop. +120 mph
The rides are almost identical, except Kingda Ka has the extra hill after the main drop and is slightly higher.
