It really hit me when I picked up a RadioShack flyer, and saw $299 headphones, that we have truly time traveled! The high end was $299, the low end was about $19. First, the 80's ballet flat shoes returned. Next, I saw 90's box/high top fades return. I know and shoot a few girls who love the 60's hippie flower girl look with jeans and headbands. And now there are the headphones from the 70's, the days of disco and roller boogie. And if you really want to go back, how about that 1933 photo of what appears to be Jay-Z? The unidentified man was shared by the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture’s Facebook page, where staff postulated that it could be Jay-Z's great-grandfather — or just some man that looks a whole lot like him.

the cases of pictures that look like they are of celebrities from decades ago isnt that big a deal if you look at it from a logistics point of view. a couple of months ago, i read an article addressing this and they did a study where they found that there are approximately 20,000,000 basic facial feature combinations. that seems like a lot of variances until you realize that we are at about 7 billion people. so if you do some quick math and divide that number by 3 (assuming that there are equal number of each major race) you'll get that, for each person, there should be, on average, 116 other people on earth that will bear more than a passing resemblance. i'm actually more surprised we dont see this more often.

@nusth. Very well said brother.

As for the real life time warp....they do exist. We're constantly being "warped" into the future. We can even accelerate the "warping" into the future by increasing our speed(by a very infinitesimal amount).

There are some interesting time traveling stories out there. I've always been fascinated by time travel and it's what motivated me to study physics at the University of Pittsburgh. I digress..

Likely a work of fiction, but still some mysteries surround it.
