I did this last year, and by tradition, I decided to bring it back. What is everyone anticipating to get this year. One thing I know I want, in addition with the 60-GB iPod I got two years ago, I wanna get the brand-new $79 iPod shuffle that is the smallest iPod ever. It'd be sweet to take that working out, and then use the 60-GB for my walks to classes and whatever else.

On my list for Xmas this year would definetly have to be the PS3! I'd take the XBOX 360 too though! [Big Grin] ...I already asked my girl for it(we got a joint account so it would be me buying it anyways) she laughed [Cry] ! So I asked her for a good quality BJ [Blow Job] hehe...but seriously though...the more attainable and reasonable gifts would have to be the new season of Family Guy and/or Harvey Birdman:Attorney at Law. For her: I want DARK blue polish...she got this light blue stuff that is definetly alright but I want dark..yes I am high maintenance [Cool]

CD's:

Mr. One Night Stand - Slunt
Get A Load of This - Slunt
Yes Virgina - The Dresden Dolls
The Dresden Dolls - Self-Titled.
Karmacode - Lacuna Coil
Close Calls with Brick Walls - Andrew WK
Come What(ever) May - Stone Sour

Possibles:

Danko Jones
Nonpoint
Others...

There's no DVD's I'd really like but if I could score Madden 07 or Smackdown vs RAW 2007 that'd be nice.

Can't really think about a PS3 or 360 till the price drops.

Still wanting those Gatchman box sets... [Cry]

Otherwise, if I'm gonna dream, I'm gonna dream big!

Adding to that list will be a Japanese PS2 along with the game Ibara, being as all the video game distributors are too ^@#$in' retarded to bring this beautiful game out domestically.

I want a new Iomega 250 meg zip drive so I can transfer all these zip disks LOADED with pics and clips of barefoot girls to my new computer.

A video capture card or whatever I'll need to grab scenes off of DVD's.

A new light pen and pad so I can dive back into working in Photoshop on a more regular basis. Drawing with a mouse is the equivalent of being right handed and getting told to write with your left...

The remastered and subtitled movie Fantastic Planet on DVD, along with a DVD version of Hardware...both of these movies are kinda' hard to come by.

And finally, but more importantly than all of the above, peace on Earth and good will toward men (and girls too [Wink] ).

That last line there Lou sounds like your in a beauty pageant:P I'd like to see that game you speak of! Could you compare it to a game that is already in the states? I just rented the Call of Duty 3 games last night and man what a game...addictive as hell!

I'll let this cool little nine minute and thirty five second clip on youtube do the speaking...
Ibara

It doesn't seem quite as intense as, say, Ikaruga, Dodonpachi, or Giga Wing 2...that is, Ibara doesn't hurl constant walls of bullets at you, but it's still intense enough to keep your fingers jumping and the graphics look so damn pretty! The bombing system looks very intriguing. Watch how the guy playing drops bomb after bomb and there never seems to be any shortage to them.

In particular, check out the "Valley" stage with the trains that can scale the walls of cliffs. Three trains attacking within that stage all at once...man that looks fun!

Well designed shooters are works of graphical and programming art, and yet sadly the genre seems to be a niche at best here in the states.

Thank you F18...I am on it! [Woot]

You ever happen to see this movie yourself? A lot of people I've heard tend to write off the "primitive" animation in this movie as something akin to the Monty Python cartoons, but I personally enjoy and appreciate all the hard work and attention to detail that went into this movie. It is unlike any movie you'll probably ever see in your life! Tripped out, otherworldly, and a FAR cry from the kind of sci-fi we usually get.

If history is any indication, whenever you have a high-quality company like Cave delivering a top-down shooter, it WILL be addictive, no questions asked!

Do yourself a favor and download a copy of MAME, along with roms of DoDonPachi, E.S.P. Ra De, and Dangun Feveron, give these finger-blistering shooters a good whirl, and I think you too will get depressed at knowing these beautiful games are damn near unheard of here in the West...

No probs mate. I haven't seen it myself, but if its anything like Terry Gilliam's animation I might just have to get hold of a copy. I know the storylne - like Orwell's Animal Farm it seems to me to be an allegory for Communism.
