What do you use to take your videos off your camera? What do you use to change the file format and not lose video quality?

www.alloksoft.com has a bunch of kick-ass conversion and editing software programs available. Depends on what you want to do with them, but I have been converting all my mpeg's to flv's and it makes them 1/10th the size without losing any quality. And it is free as long as the videos are under 5 minutes! Check it out:)

To take the movie from your camera to your computer normally there is a hot wire or usb cable connector (hope I am calling it by the right name) I use studio 8 quick start for some things, movie maker for others and nero to make my movies into a dvd. If you need any help message me, I would be glad to walk you thru it!

It's a "firewire" cable. I know how to get them off my camera, but thanks for the advice. I am just curious what software people are using.
I use iMovie right now and Quicktime to convert to flv but I think I can better quality with something else.

I was using Final Cut Pro on my Macintosh, but was having issues with people wanting Windows Media Formatted files. Now on my PC I have been using a program called Magix Movie Edit Pro 12. Love all the features and built in items.
a bunch of video and audio converters in one convenient .exe with keygens. they usually work pretty well.
