Apple Ipod - Call me jealous maybe coz I don't have one. I just say it's pricy vs what it can do. $400 (NZD) for a 120giga, that's way too many songs which far outlives the limited battery life and the screen is way too small to watch a decent movie. My $25(NZD) 1GB 12hr batterlife mp3 player holds about 300songs which does me fine watching a movie on a decent size screen on my $200 PSP which can also hold songs, play movies and games. (aaaaaaaaaaaa PSP, my baby )...... besides, a cell phone can do all of these plus takes pics and is a fraction of the price.

i don't like them because well they are annoying and i hate getting ran over by them. i had some kid run right inot th back of me. it was liek getting my heels hit by the grocery cart at the store!

For me, Mac computers. Every commercial and every Mac user will tell you that Apples are so much better than Windows and that anything made by Microsoft is unstable and worthless. If you talk to any computer tech, they'll tell you that there really isn't any difference between the two right now and that the commercials are just making you believe in something that isn't true. Everyone thinks that Macs don't have any problems because they're OS is so much better when in reality it suffers the same problems as Windows. AH but Steve Jobs was SMART. He knew the problem with his coding so he took the normal programs that every PC user uses and made an Apple version out of it. Everyone is done in house. Let's be realistic. Garage Band is just Acid Pro and Sound Forge in one program. Actually, one of my friends now is a guy who's been involved in computers since they started and he'll tell you that the reason that Apple and Windows suffer problems is because they're literally layering OS on top of OS and it's conflicting with old coding. The truth is Macs are only good when they're no third party software on there. How many hardcore gamers do you know that use Macs? I don't know any.
For me, another one is the Japanese anime craze. This one is wierd for me because I used to be into this stuff. That is until the more modern series started coming out. Now, the series are just boring, repeatative or they just don't make any sense. I think when anime became mainstream it just lost it's value. You can thank Cartoon Network for that.

Speaking of Anime, Mr. Maverick, I'd also like to lump in Manga, and anything else that goes with it. My daughter is totally caught up in Japanese cartoons and animation watching every series she can find, buying books on drawing in that style, and even the graphic novels.
I'll tell you what's also overrated even though I want one. HDTVs. I still have my crappy old projection TV I bought years ago which I was moaning about replacing a few months back. It seems that every big electronics store's entire focus is around these things and their accessories.

You hit on something else LeDaemon... widescreen EVERYTHING! TVs, computer monitors, everything is going flatscreen and while some are good, I don't want everything widescreen. My 1600x1200 20.1 in LCD is just fine.
